Abstract: One of the main research directions in CAD/CAM
machining area is the reducing of machining time.
The feedrate scheduling is one of the advanced techniques that
allows keeping constant the uncut chip area and as sequel to keep
constant the main cutting force. They are two main ways for feedrate
optimization. The first consists in the cutting force monitoring, which
presumes to use complex equipment for the force measurement and
after this, to set the feedrate regarding the cutting force variation. The
second way is to optimize the feedrate by keeping constant the
material removal rate regarding the cutting conditions.
In this paper there is proposed a new approach using an extended
database that replaces the system model.
The feedrate scheduling is determined based on the identification
of the reconfigurable machine tool, and the feed value determination
regarding the uncut chip section area, the contact length between tool
and blank and also regarding the geometrical roughness.
The first stage consists in the blank and tool monitoring for the
determination of actual profiles. The next stage is the determination
of programmed tool path that allows obtaining the piece target
profile.
The graphic representation environment models the tool and blank
regions and, after this, the tool model is positioned regarding the
blank model according to the programmed tool path. For each of
these positions the geometrical roughness value, the uncut chip area
and the contact length between tool and blank are calculated. Each of
these parameters are compared with the admissible values and
according to the result the feed value is established.
We can consider that this approach has the following advantages:
in case of complex cutting processes the prediction of cutting force is
possible; there is considered the real cutting profile which has
deviations from the theoretical profile; the blank-tool contact length
limitation is possible; it is possible to correct the programmed tool
path so that the target profile can be obtained.
Applying this method, there are obtained data sets which allow the
feedrate scheduling so that the uncut chip area is constant and, as a
result, the cutting force is constant, which allows to use more
efficiently the machine tool and to obtain the reduction of machining
time.
Abstract: The amplitude response of infrared (IR) sensors
depends on the reflectance properties of the target. Therefore, in
order to use IR sensor for measuring distances accurately, prior
knowledge of the surface must be known. This paper describes the
Phong Illumination Model for determining the properties of a surface
and subsequently calculating the distance to the surface. The angular
position of the IR sensor is computed as normal to the surface for
simplifying the calculation. Ultrasonic (US) sensor can provide the
initial information on distance to obtain the parameters for this
method. In addition, the experimental results obtained by using
LabView are discussed. More care should be taken when placing the
objects from the sensors during acquiring data since the small change
in angle could show very different distance than the actual one.
Since stereo camera vision systems do not perform well under some
environmental conditions such as plain wall, glass surfaces, or poor
lighting conditions, the IR and US sensors can be used additionally to
improve the overall vision systems of mobile robots.
Abstract: The focus of this research is in the area of the soviet period and the mission of the Russian Orthodox Church in Kazakhstan in the XIX century. There was close connection of national customs and traditions with religious practices, outlooks and attitudes. In particular, such an approach has alleged estimation by Kazakh historians of the process of Christianization of the local population. Some of them are inclined to consider the small number of Christening Kazakhs as evidence that the Russian Orthodox Church didn’t achieve its mission. The number of historians who think that the church didn’t achieve its mission has thousand over the last centuries, however our calculations of the number of Kazakhs who became Orthodox Christian is much more than other historians think. Such Christians can be divided into 3 groups: Some remained Christian until their deaths, others had two faiths and the third hid their true religions, having returned to their former belief. Therefore, to define the exact amount of Christening Kazakhs represented a challenge. Some data does not create a clear picture of the level of Christianization, constant and accurate was not collected. The data appearing in reports of spiritual attendants and civil authorities is not always authentic. Article purpose is illumination and the analysis missionary activity of Russian Orthodox Church in Kazakhstan.
Abstract: Image mosaicing is a technique that permits to enlarge the field of view of a camera. For instance, it is employed to achieve panoramas with common cameras or even in scientific applications, to achieve the image of a whole culture in microscopical imaging. Usually, a mosaic of cell cultures is achieved through using automated microscopes. However, this is often performed in batch, through CPU intensive minimization algorithms. In addition, live stem cells are studied in phase contrast, showing a low contrast that cannot be improved further. We present a method to study the flat field from live stem cells images even in case of 100% confluence, this permitting to build accurate mosaics on-line using high performance algorithms.
Abstract: Children with hemiplgic cerebral palsy often walk
with diminished reciprocal arm swing so the purpose of this study
was to describe kinematic characteristics in children with hemiplegic
cerebral palsy (CP) during the gait suphases, and find if there is a
correlation between upper(shoulder and elbow) and lower(hip, knee,
and ankle) limb joints either in involved or uninvolved.48 children
with hemiplegic cerebral palsy (18boys, 30girls) with an average age
of (5.1±0.87) years were selected randomly to evaluate joint angles
during gait by 3D motion analysis system with 6 pro reflex cameras
in a sagittal plane for both sides of the body. The results showed
increased shoulder and elbow flexion, increased hip angular
displacement, decreased knee and ankle arcs during gait cycle, also
there is correlation between shoulder and elbow to hip, knee, and
ankle joints during various subphases of gait.
Abstract: Free and open source software is gaining popularity at
an unprecedented rate of growth. Organizations despite some
concerns about the quality have been using them for various
purposes. One of the biggest concerns about free and open source
software is post release software defects and their fixing. Many
believe that there is no appropriate support available to fix the bugs.
On the contrary some believe that due to the active involvement of
internet user in online forums, they become a major source of
communicating the identification and fixing of defects in open source
software. The research model of this empirical investigation
establishes and studies the relationship between open source software
defects and online public forums. The results of this empirical study
provide evidence about the realities of software defects myths of
open source software. We used a dataset consist of 616 open source
software projects covering a broad range of categories to study the
research model of this investigation. The results of this investigation
show that online forums play a significant role identifying and fixing
the defects in open source software.

We tested the device and made note of its limitations and possible
extensions.
Abstract: This study assessed the effects of climate change on
Thai soybeans under simulation situations. Our study is focused on
temperature variability and effects on growth, yield, and genetic
changes in 2 generations of Chiang Mai 60 cultivars. In the
experiment, soybeans were exposed to 3 levels of air temperature for
8 h day-1 in an open top chamber for 2 cropping periods. Air
temperature levels in each treatment were controlled at 30-33°C (±
2.3) for LT-treatment, 33-36°C ( ± 2.4) for AT-treatment, and 36-40
°C ( ± 3.2) for HT-treatment, respectively. Positive effects of high
temperature became obvious at the maturing stage when yield
significantly increased in both cropping periods. Results in growth
indicated that shoot length at the pre-maturing stage
(V3-R3) was more positively affected by high temperature than at the
maturing stage. However, the positive effect on growth under high
temperature was not found in the 2nd cropping period. Finally, genetic
changes were examined in phenotype characteristics by the AFLPs
technique. The results showed that the high temperature factor clearly
caused genetic change in the soybeans and showed more alteration in
the 2nd cropping period.
Abstract: Wavelet transforms is a very powerful tools for image compression. One of its advantage is the provision of both spatial and frequency localization of image energy. However, wavelet transform coefficients are defined by both a magnitude and sign. While algorithms exist for efficiently coding the magnitude of the transform coefficients, they are not efficient for the coding of their sign. It is generally assumed that there is no compression gain to be obtained from the coding of the sign. Only recently have some authors begun to investigate the sign of wavelet coefficients in image coding. Some authors have assumed that the sign information bit of wavelet coefficients may be encoded with the estimated probability of 0.5; the same assumption concerns the refinement information bit. In this paper, we propose a new method for Separate Sign Coding (SSC) of wavelet image coefficients. The sign and the magnitude of wavelet image coefficients are examined to obtain their online probabilities. We use the scalar quantization in which the information of the wavelet coefficient to belong to the lower or to the upper sub-interval in the uncertainly interval is also examined. We show that the sign information and the refinement information may be encoded by the probability of approximately 0.5 only after about five bit planes. Two maps are separately entropy encoded: the sign map and the magnitude map. The refinement information of the wavelet coefficient to belong to the lower or to the upper sub-interval in the uncertainly interval is also entropy encoded. An algorithm is developed and simulations are performed on three standard images in grey scale: Lena, Barbara and Cameraman. Five scales are performed using the biorthogonal wavelet transform 9/7 filter bank. The obtained results are compared to JPEG2000 standard in terms of peak signal to noise ration (PSNR) for the three images and in terms of subjective quality (visual quality). It is shown that the proposed method outperforms the JPEG2000. The proposed method is also compared to other codec in the literature. It is shown that the proposed method is very successful and shows its performance in term of PSNR.

Abstract: The development of One Tambon One Product
(OTOP) became the policy of the government in 1997 after the
former Prime Minister had been in power. The strategy of sections is
currently set for the policy. OTOP has become the part of the way of
community lives around the country. OTOP may be developed under
changing into ASEAN economic community in 2015 because of the
flow of capitals, productions, and many workers in the region. All
sectors are improved for the change. The purposes of study were to
study the strength and weakness of the OTOP-creating process via its
policy and to lead to the strategy to be able to apply before changing.
The methodology is qualitative to study its policy including
document and to interview experienced persons. The findings showed
that the effort of improvement of all sectors obviously involves with
OTOP development. Particularly, the strategic administration of
OTOP is in every level of the state, central sector, region, and
community.
Abstract: The mixture formation prior to the ignition process
plays as a key element in the diesel combustion. Parametric studies of
mixture formation and ignition process in various injection parameter
has received considerable attention in potential for reducing
emissions. Purpose of this study is to clarify the effects of injection
pressure on mixture formation and ignition especially during ignition
delay period, which have to be significantly influences throughout the
combustion process and exhaust emissions. This study investigated
the effects of injection pressure on diesel combustion fundamentally
using rapid compression machine. The detail behavior of mixture
formation during ignition delay period was investigated using the
schlieren photography system with a high speed camera. This method
can capture spray evaporation, spray interference, mixture formation
and flame development clearly with real images. Ignition process and
flame development were investigated by direct photography method
using a light sensitive high-speed color digital video camera. The
injection pressure and air motion are important variable that strongly
affect to the fuel evaporation, endothermic and prolysis process
during ignition delay. An increased injection pressure makes spray tip
penetration longer and promotes a greater amount of fuel-air mixing
occurs during ignition delay. A greater quantity of fuel prepared
during ignition delay period thus predominantly promotes more rapid
heat release.
Abstract: Xanthan gum is one of the major commercial
biopolymers. Due to its excellent rheological properties xanthan gum
is used in many applications, mainly in food industry. Commercial
production of xanthan gum uses glucose as the carbon substrate;
consequently the price of xanthan production is high. One of the
ways to decrease xanthan price, is using cheaper substrate like
agricultural wastes. Iran is one of the biggest date producer countries.
However approximately 50% of date production is wasted annually.
The goal of this study is to produce xanthan gum from waste date
using Xanthomonas campestris PTCC1473 by submerged
fermentation. In this study the effect of three variables including
phosphor and nitrogen amount and agitation rate in three levels using
response surface methodology (RSM) has been studied. Results
achieved from statistical analysis Design Expert 7.0.0 software
showed that xanthan increased with increasing level of phosphor.
Low level of nitrogen leaded to higher xanthan production. Xanthan
amount, increasing agitation had positive influence. The statistical
model identified the optimum conditions nitrogen amount=3.15g/l,
phosphor amount=5.03 g/l and agitation=394.8 rpm for xanthan. To
model validation, experiments in optimum conditions for xanthan
gum were carried out. The mean of result for xanthan was 6.72±0.26.
The result was closed to the predicted value by using RSM.
Abstract: Three sulphonic acid-doped polyanilines were
synthesized through chemical oxidation at low temperature (0-5 oC)
and potential of these polymers as sensing agent for O2 gas detection
in terms of fluorescence quenching was studied. Sulphuric acid,
dodecylbenzene sulphonic acid (DBSA) and camphor sulphonic acid
(CSA) were used as doping agents. All polymers obtained were dark
green powder. Polymers obtained were characterized by Fourier
transform infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible absorption
spectroscopy, thermogravimetry analysis, elemental analysis,
differential scanning calorimeter and gel permeation
chromatography. Characterizations carried out showed that polymers
were successfully synthesized with mass recovery for sulphuric aciddoped
polyaniline (SPAN), DBSA-doped polyaniline (DBSA-doped
PANI) and CSA-doped polyaniline (CSA-doped PANI) of 71.40%,
75.00% and 39.96%, respectively. Doping level of SPAN, DBSAdoped
PANI and CSA-doped PANI were 32.86%, 33.13% and
53.96%, respectively as determined based on elemental analysis.
Sensing test was carried out on polymer sample in the form of
solution and film by using fluorescence spectrophotometer. Samples
of polymer solution and polymer film showed positive response
towards O2 exposure. All polymer solutions and films were fully
regenerated by using N2 gas within 1 hour period. Photostability
study showed that all samples of polymer solutions and films were
stable towards light when continuously exposed to xenon lamp for 9
hours. The relative standard deviation (RSD) values for SPAN
solution, DBSA-doped PANI solution and CSA-doped PANI
solution for repeatability were 0.23%, 0.64% and 0.76%,
respectively. Meanwhile RSD values for reproducibility were 2.36%,
6.98% and 1.27%, respectively. Results for SPAN film, DBSAdoped
PANI film and CSA-doped PANI film showed the same
pattern with RSD values for repeatability of 0.52%, 4.05% and
0.90%, respectively. Meanwhile RSD values for reproducibility were
2.91%, 10.05% and 7.42%, respectively. The study on effect of the
flow rate on response time was carried out using 3 different rates
which were 0.25 mL/s, 1.00 mL/s and 2.00 mL/s. Results obtained
showed that the higher the flow rate, the shorter the response time.
Abstract: A long-term campaign for monitoring the
concentration of atmospheric Particulate Matter (PM) was conducted
at multiple sites located in the center and suburbs of the Tokyo
Metropolitan Area in Japan. The concentration of fine PM has shown a
declining trend over the last two decades. A positive matrix
factorization model elucidated that the contribution of combustion
sources was drastically reduced. In Japan, the regulations on vehicle
exhaust emissions were phased in and gradually tightened over the last
two decades, which has triggered a notable reduction in PM emissions
from automobiles and has contributed to the mitigation of the problem
of fine PM pollution.
Abstract: The present study is concerned with effect of exciting
boundary layer on increase in heat transfer from flat surfaces. As any
increase in heat transfer between a fluid inside a face and another one
outside of it can cause an increase in some equipment's efficiency, so
at this present we have tried to increase the wall's heat transfer
coefficient by exciting the fluid boundary layer. By a collision
between flow and the placed block at the fluid way, the flow pattern
and the boundary layer stability will change. The flow way inside the
channel is simulated as a 2&3-dimensional channel by Gambit
TM
software.
With studying the achieved results by this simulation for the flow
way inside the channel with a block coordinating with Fluent
TM
software, it's determined that the figure and dimensions of the exciter
are too important for exciting the boundary layer so that any increase
in block dimensions in vertical side against the flow and any
reduction in its dimensions at the flow side can increase the average
heat transfer coefficient from flat surface and increase the flow
pressure loss. Using 2&3-dimensional analysis on exciting the flow at
the flow way inside a channel by cylindrical block at the same time
with the external flow, we came to this conclusion that the heat flux
transferred from the surface, is increased considerably in terms of the
condition without excitation. Also, the k-e turbulence model is used.
Abstract: fifteen cultivars of Strawberries (Queen Eliza, Sequia,
Paros, Mcdonance, Selva, Chandler, Mrak, Ten beauty, Aliso, Pajero,
Kordestan, Camarosa, Blackmore, Gaviota and Fresno) were
investigated in 2011, under hydroponic system condition. Yield and
fruit Firmness was determinate. Chemical analyses of soluble solids
content (SSC), titratable acidity (TA), ascorbic acid (AA) and pH
were done. 4 cultivars (Aliso, Selva, Paros and Gaviota) yielded more
than 250 g/plant, while cultivar Black more, Fresno and Kordestan
produced less than 100g/plant. The amounts of fruit firmness
indicated that 'Camarosa' fruit was firmer than others cultivars.
Cultivar 'Fresno' had the highest pH (3.27). Ttitratable acidity varied
from 1.03g/l00g for cultivar 'Sequia' and 'Gaviota' to 1.48g/l00g for
cultivar 'Chandler'. Fresno, Kordestan, Aliso and Chandler showed
the highest soluble solid concentration. Ascorbic acid averaged for
most cultivars between 30.26 and 79.73 mg/100gf.w. Present results
showed that different cultivars of strawberry contain highly variable
in fruit quality.
Abstract: Discussion and development of principles of the
uniform nation formation within the limits of the Kazakhstan state
obviously became one of the most pressing questions of the day. The
fact that this question has not been solved "from above" as many
other questions has caused really brisk discussion, shows us increase
of civil consciousness in Kazakhstan society, and also the actuality of
this theme which can be carried in the category of fatal questions. In
any sense, nation building has raised civil society to a much higher
level. It would be better to begin with certain definitions. First is the
word "nation". The second is the "state". Both of these terms are very
closely connected with each other, so that in English language they
are in general synonyms. In Russian more shades of these terms
exist. For example in Kazakhstan the citizens of the country
irrespective of nationality (but mainly with reference to non-kazakhs)
are called «kazakhstanians», while the name of the title nation is
\"Kazakhs\". The same we can see in Russia, where, for example, the
Chechen or the Yakut –are \"Rossiyane\" which means “the citizens
of Russian Federation, but not \"Russians\".
The paper was written under the research project “Islam in modern
Kazakhstan: the nature and outcome of the religious revival”.
Abstract: This research study the application of the immobilized
TiO2 layer and Cu-TiO2 layer on graphite substrate as a negative
electrode or anode for Li-ion battery. The titania layer was produced
through chemical bath deposition method, meanwhile Cu particles
were deposited electrochemically. A material can be used as an
electrode as it has capability to intercalates Li ions into its crystal
structure. The Li intercalation into TiO2/Graphite and Cu-
TiO2/Graphite were analyzed from the changes of its XRD pattern
after it was used as electrode during discharging process. The XRD
patterns were refined by Le Bail method in order to determine the
crystal structure of the prepared materials. A specific capacity and the
cycle ability measurement were carried out to study the performance
of the prepared materials as negative electrode of the Li-ion battery.
The specific capacity was measured during discharging process from
fully charged until the cut off voltage. A 300 was used as a load.
The result shows that the specific capacity of Li-ion battery with
TiO2/Graphite as negative electrode is 230.87 ± 1.70mAh.g-1 which is
higher than the specific capacity of Li-ion battery with pure graphite
as negative electrode, i.e 140.75 ±0.46mAh.g-1. Meanwhile
deposition of Cu onto TiO2 layer does not increase the specific
capacity, and the value even lower than the battery with
TiO2/Graphite as electrode. The cycle ability of the prepared battery
is only two cycles, due to the Li ribbon which was used as cathode
became fragile and easily broken.
Abstract: Heat transfer from two cam shape cylinder in tandem
