Abstract: The scientific perspective, the practice area of physical education and sports activities improve power capacity in all its forms of expression, being a generator of the research topics. Today theories that strength training athletes and slow down development progress will affect the strength and flexibility are discredited. On the other hand there are sectors and / or samples whose results are sports of the way higher manifestation of power as a result of the composition of the force and velocity, being based in this respect on the systematic and continuous development of both bio-motric capacities said. Training of force for children was and is controversial. Teama de accidentări sau a stopării premature a procesului de creştere a făcut ca în trecut copiii să fie ţinuţi departe de lucrul cu diferite greutăţi.Fear of injury or premature stop the growth process in the past made the children to be kept away from working with different weights. Recent studies have shown that the risk of accidents is relatively small and the strength training can help prevent them. For example, most accidents occur at the level of athletics ligaments and tendons. From this point of view, it can be said that a progressive intervention of force training, optimal design, will help enhancing their process, such as athlete much better prepared to meet training requests and competitions. Preparation of force provides a solid basis for further phases in the highest performance.
Abstract: The impact of fixed speed squirrel cage type as well as
variable speed doubly fed induction generators (DFIG) on dynamic
performance of a multimachine power system has been investigated.
Detailed models of the various components have been presented and
the integration of asynchronous and synchronous generators has been
carried out through a rotor angle based transform. Simulation studies
carried out considering the conventional dynamic model of squirrel
cage asynchronous generators show that integration, as such, could
degrade to the AC system performance transiently. This article
proposes a frequency or power controller which can effectively
control the transients and restore normal operation of fixed speed
induction generator quickly. Comparison of simulation results
between classical cage and doubly-fed induction generators indicate
that the doubly fed induction machine is more adaptable to
multimachine AC system. Frequency controller installed in the DFIG
system can also improve its transient profile.
Abstract: The continued interest in the use of distributed generation in recent years is leading to the growth in number of distributed generators connected to distribution networks. Steady state voltage rise resulting from the connection of these generators can be a major obstacle to their connection at lower voltage levels. The present electric distribution network is designed to keep the customer voltage within tolerance limit. This may require a reduction in connectable generation capacity, under utilization of appropriate generation sites. Thus distribution network operators need a proper voltage regulation method to allow the significant integration of distributed generation systems to existing network. In this work a voltage rise problem in a typical distribution system has been studied. A method for voltage regulation of distribution system with multiple DG system by coordinated operation distributed generator, capacitor and OLTC has been developed. A sensitivity based analysis has been carried out to determine the priority for individual generators in multiple DG environment. The effectiveness of the developed method has been evaluated under various cases through simulation results.
Abstract: High voltage generators are being subject to higher
voltage rating and are being designed to operate in harsh conditions.
Stator windings are the main component of generators in which
Electrical, magnetically and thermal stresses remain major failures
for insulation degradation accelerated aging. A large number of
generators failed due to stator winding problems, mainly insulation
deterioration. Insulation degradation assessment plays vital role in the
asset life management. Mostly the stator failure is catastrophic
causing significant damage to the plant. Other than generation loss,
stator failure involves heavy repair or replacement cost. Electro
thermal analysis is the main characteristic for improvement design of
stator slot-s insulation. Dielectric parameters such as insulation
thickness, spacing, material types, geometry of winding and slot are
major design consideration. A very powerful method available to
analyze electro thermal performance is Finite Element Method
(FEM) which is used in this paper. The analysis of various stator coil
and slot configurations are used to design the better dielectric system
to reduce electrical and thermal stresses in order to increase the
power of generator in the same volume of core. This paper describes
the process used to perform classical design and improvement
analysis of stator slot-s insulation.
Abstract: Optimal reactive power flow is an optimization problem
with one or more objective of minimizing the active power losses for
fixed generation schedule. The control variables are generator bus
voltages, transformer tap settings and reactive power output of the
compensating devices placed on different bus bars. Biogeography-
Based Optimization (BBO) technique has been applied to solve
different kinds of optimal reactive power flow problems subject
to operational constraints like power balance constraint, line flow
and bus voltages limits etc. BBO searches for the global optimum
mainly through two steps: Migration and Mutation. In the present
work, BBO has been applied to solve the optimal reactive power
flow problems on IEEE 30-bus and standard IEEE 57-bus power
systems for minimization of active power loss. The superiority of the
proposed method has been demonstrated. Considering the quality of
the solution obtained, the proposed method seems to be a promising
one for solving these problems.
Abstract: This paper presents a developed method for
controlling multi-renewable energy generators. The control system
depends basically on three sensors (wind anemometer, solar sensor,
and voltage sensor). These sensors represent PLC-s analogue inputs.
Controlling the output voltage supply can be achieved by an
enhanced method of interlocking between the renewable energy
generators, depending on those sensors and output contactors.
Abstract: With the growth of electricity generation from gas
energy gas pipeline reliability can substantially impact the electric
generation. A physical disruption to pipeline or to a compressor
station can interrupt the flow of gas or reduce the pressure and lead
to loss of multiple gas-fired electric generators, which could
dramatically reduce the supplied power and threaten the power
system security. Gas pressure drops during peak loading time on
pipeline system, is a common problem in network with no enough
transportation capacity which limits gas transportation and causes
many problem for thermal domain power systems in supplying their
demand. For a feasible generation scheduling planning in networks
with no sufficient gas transportation capacity, it is required to
consider gas pipeline constraints in solving the optimization problem
and evaluate the impacts of gas consumption in power plants on gas
pipelines operating condition. This paper studies about operating of
gas fired power plants in critical conditions when the demand of gas
and electricity peak together. An integrated model of gas and electric
model is used to consider the gas pipeline constraints in the economic
dispatch problem of gas-fueled thermal generator units.
Abstract: Wind power is among the most actively developing distributed generation (DG) technology. Majority of the wind power based DG technologies employ wind turbine induction generators (WTIG) instead of synchronous generators, for the technical advantages like: reduced size, increased robustness, lower cost, and increased electromechanical damping. However, dynamic changes of wind speed make the amount of active/reactive power injected/drawn to a WTIG embedded distribution network highly variable. This paper analyzes the effect of wind speed changes on the active and reactive power penetration to the wind energy embedded distribution network. Four types of wind speed changes namely; constant, linear change, gust change and random change of wind speed are considered in the analysis. The study is carried out by three-phase, non-linear, dynamic simulation of distribution system component models. Results obtained from the investigation are presented and discussed.

Abstract: A way of generating millimeter wave I/Q signal using inductive resonator matched poly-phase filter is suggested. Normally the poly-phase filter generates quite accurate I/Q phase and magnitude but the loss of the filter is considerable due to series connection of passive RC components. This loss term directly increases system noise figure when the poly-phase filter is used in RF Front-end. The proposed matching method eliminates above mentioned loss and in addition provides gain on the passive filter. The working algorithm is illustrated by mathematical analysis. The generated I/Q signal is used in implementing millimeter wave phase shifter for the 60 GHz communication system to verify its effectiveness. The circuit is fabricated in 90 nm TSMC RF CMOS process under 1.2 V supply voltage. The measurement results showed that the suggested method improved gain by 6.5 dB and noise by 2.3 dB. The summary of the proposed I/Q generation is compared with previous works.

In this paper, a novel algorithm based on the chaotic sequence generator with the highest ability to adapt and reach the global optima is proposed. The adaptive ability of proposal algorithm is flexible in 2 steps. The first one is a breadth-first search and the second one is a depth-first search. The proposal algorithm is examined by 2 functions, the Camel function and the Schaffer function. Furthermore, the proposal algorithm is applied to optimize training Multilayer Neural Networks.
Abstract: This paper introduces an adiabatic register file based
on two-phase CPAL (Complementary Pass-Transistor Adiabatic
Logic circuits) with power-gating scheme, which can operate on a
single-phase power clock. A 32×32 single-phase adiabatic register file
with power-gating scheme has been implemented with TSMC 0.18μm
CMOS technology. All the circuits except for the storage cells employ
two-phase CPAL circuits, and the storage cell is based on the
conventional memory one. The two-phase non-overlap power-clock
generator with power-gating scheme is used to supply the proposed
adiabatic register file. Full-custom layouts are drawn. The energy and
functional simulations have been performed using the net-list
extracted from their layouts. Compared with the traditional static
CMOS register file, HSPICE simulations show that the proposed
adiabatic register file can work very well, and it attains about 73%
energy savings at 100 MHz.
Abstract: The utility of expert system generators has been
widely recognized in many applications. Several generators based on
concept of the paradigm object, have been recently proposed. The
generator of oriented object expert system (GSEOO) offers
languages that are often complex and difficult to use. We propose in
this paper an extension of the expert system generator, JESS, which
permits a friendly use of this expert system. The new tool, called
VISUAL JESS, bring two main improvements to JESS. The first
improvement concerns the easiness of its utilization while giving
back transparency to the syntax and semantic aspects of the JESS
programming language. The second improvement permits an easy
access and modification of the JESS knowledge basis. The
implementation of VISUAL JESS is made so that it is extensible and
portable.
Abstract: This paper presents the application of an enhanced
Particle Swarm Optimization (EPSO) combined with Gaussian
Mutation (GM) for solving the Dynamic Economic Dispatch (DED)
problem considering the operating constraints of generators. The
EPSO consists of the standard PSO and a modified heuristic search
approaches. Namely, the ability of the traditional PSO is enhanced
by applying the modified heuristic search approach to prevent the
solutions from violating the constraints. In addition, Gaussian
Mutation is aimed at increasing the diversity of global search, whilst
it also prevents being trapped in suboptimal points during search. To
illustrate its efficiency and effectiveness, the developed EPSO-GM
approach is tested on the 3-unit and 10-unit 24-hour systems
considering valve-point effect. From the experimental results, it can
be concluded that the proposed EPSO-GM provides, the accurate
solution, the efficiency, and the feature of robust computation
compared with other algorithms under consideration.
Abstract: This paper focuses on PSS/E modeling of wind farms
of Doubly-fed Induction Generator (DFIG) type and their impact on
issues of power system operation. Since Wind Turbine Generators
(WTG) don-t have the same characteristics as synchronous
generators, the appropriate modeling of wind farms is essential for
transmission system operators to analyze the best options of
transmission grid reinforcements as well as to evaluate the wind
power impact on reliability and security of supply. With the high
excepted penetration of wind power into the power system a
simultaneous loss of Wind Farm generation will put at risk power
system security and reliability. Therefore, the main wind grid code
requirements concern the fault ride through capability and frequency
operation range of wind turbines. In case of grid faults wind turbines
have to supply a definite reactive power depending on the
instantaneous voltage and to return quickly to normal operation.
Abstract: This paper presents the applications of computational intelligence techniques to economic load dispatch problems. The fuel cost equation of a thermal plant is generally expressed as continuous quadratic equation. In real situations the fuel cost equations can be discontinuous. In view of the above, both continuous and discontinuous fuel cost equations are considered in the present paper. First, genetic algorithm optimization technique is applied to a 6- generator 26-bus test system having continuous fuel cost equations. Results are compared to conventional quadratic programming method to show the superiority of the proposed computational intelligence technique. Further, a 10-generator system each with three fuel options distributed in three areas is considered and particle swarm optimization algorithm is employed to minimize the cost of generation. To show the superiority of the proposed approach, the results are compared with other published methods.
Abstract: This paper provides the design steps of a robust Linear
Matrix Inequality (LMI) based iterative multivariable PID controller
whose duty is to drive a sample power system that comprises a
synchronous generator connected to a large network via a step-up
transformer and a transmission line. The generator is equipped with
two control-loops, namely, the speed/power (governor) and voltage
(exciter). Both loops are lumped in one where the error in the
terminal voltage and output active power represent the controller
inputs and the generator-exciter voltage and governor-valve position
represent its outputs. Multivariable PID is considered here because of
its wide use in the industry, simple structure and easy
implementation. It is also preferred in plants of higher order that
cannot be reduced to lower ones. To improve its robustness to
variation in the controlled variables, H∞-norm of the system transfer
function is used. To show the effectiveness of the controller, divers
tests, namely, step/tracking in the controlled variables, and variation
in plant parameters, are applied. A comparative study between the
proposed controller and a robust H∞ LMI-based output feedback is
given by its robustness to disturbance rejection. From the simulation
results, the iterative multivariable PID shows superiority.
Abstract: This paper presents an approach for daily optimal operation of distribution networks considering Distributed Generators (DGs). Due to private ownership of DGs, a cost based compensation method is used to encourage DGs in active and reactive power generation. The objective function is summation of electrical energy generated by DGs and substation bus (main bus) in the next day. A genetic algorithm is used to solve the optimal operation problem. The approach is tested on an IEEE34 buses distribution feeder.
Abstract: An economic operation scheduling problem of a
hydro-thermal power generation system has been properly solved by
the proposed multipath adaptive tabu search algorithm (MATS). Four
reservoirs with their own hydro plants and another one thermal plant
are integrated to be a studied system used to formulate the objective
function under complicated constraints, eg water managements,
power balance and thermal generator limits. MATS with four subsearch
units (ATSs) and two stages of discarding mechanism (DM),
has been setting and trying to solve the problem through 25 trials
under function evaluation criterion. It is shown that MATS can
provide superior results with respect to single ATS and other
previous methods, genetic algorithms (GA) and differential evolution
(DE).
