Abstract: As the performance of the filtering system depends
upon the accuracy of the noise detection scheme, in this paper, we
present a new scheme for impulse noise detection based on two
levels of decision. In this scheme in the first stage we coarsely
identify the corrupted pixels and in the second stage we finally
decide whether the pixel under consideration is really corrupt or not.
The efficacy of the proposed filter has been confirmed by extensive
simulations.
Abstract: This paper presents a microstrip meandered open
circuited stub with bandstop characteristic. The proposed structure is
designed on a high frequency laminate with dielectric constant of 4.0
and board thickness of 0.508 millimeters. The scattering parameters
and electromagnetic field distributions at various frequencies are
investigated by modeling the structure with three dimensional
electromagnetic simulation tool. In order to describe the resonant
and bandstop characteristic of the meandered open circuited stub, a
Smith chart as well as electric field at various frequencies and phases
is illustrated accordingly. The structure can be an alternative method
in suppressing the harmonic response of a bandpass filter.
Abstract: Fatigue life prediction and evaluation are the key
technologies to assure the safety and reliability of automotive rubber
components. The objective of this study is to develop the fatigue
analysis process for vulcanized rubber components, which is
applicable to predict fatigue life at initial product design step. Fatigue
life prediction methodology of vulcanized natural rubber was
proposed by incorporating the finite element analysis and fatigue
damage parameter of maximum strain appearing at the critical location
determined from fatigue test. In order to develop an appropriate
fatigue damage parameter of the rubber material, a series of
displacement controlled fatigue test was conducted using threedimensional
dumbbell specimen with different levels of mean
displacement. It was shown that the maximum strain was a proper
damage parameter, taking the mean displacement effects into account.
Nonlinear finite element analyses of three-dimensional dumbbell
specimens were performed based on a hyper-elastic material model
determined from the uni-axial tension, equi-biaxial tension and planar
test. Fatigue analysis procedure employed in this study could be used
approximately for the fatigue design.
Abstract: This paper investigates the performance of Multiple- Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) feedback system combined with Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). Two types of codebook based channel feedback techniques are used in this work. The first feedback technique uses a combination of both the long-term and short-term channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter, whereas the second technique uses only the short term CSI. The long-term and short-term CSI at the transmitter is used for efficient channel utilization. OFDM is a powerful technique employed in communication systems suffering from frequency selectivity. Combined with multiple antennas at the transmitter and receiver, OFDM proves to be robust against delay spread. Moreover, it leads to significant data rates with improved bit error performance over links having only a single antenna at both the transmitter and receiver. The effectiveness of these techniques has been demonstrated through the simulation of a MIMO-OFDM feedback system. The results have been evaluated for 4x4 MIMO channels. Simulation results indicate the benefits of the MIMO-OFDM channel feedback system over the one without incorporating OFDM. Performance gain of about 3 dB is observed for MIMO-OFDM feedback system as compared to the one without employing OFDM. Hence MIMO-OFDM becomes an attractive approach for future high speed wireless communication systems.

Matlab program is developed to measure the signal-to-noise ratio
(SNR), and the bit error probability for the various schemes.
Abstract: In this paper, we propose the robust water level detection method based on the accumulated histogram under small changed image which is acquired from water level surveillance camera. In general surveillance system, this is detecting and recognizing invasion from searching area which is in big change on the sequential images. However, in case of a water level detection system, these general surveillance techniques are not suitable due to small change on the water surface. Therefore the algorithm introduces the accumulated histogram which is emphasizing change of water surface in sequential images. Accumulated histogram is based on the current image frame. The histogram is cumulating differences between previous images and current image. But, these differences are also appeared in the land region. The band pass filter is able to remove noises in the accumulated histogram Finally, this algorithm clearly separates water and land regions. After these works, the algorithm converts from the water level value on the image space to the real water level on the real space using calibration table. The detected water level is sent to the host computer with current image. To evaluate the proposed algorithm, we use test images from various situations.
Abstract: Fractional Fourier Transform is a powerful tool,
which is a generalization of the classical Fourier Transform. This
paper provides a mathematical relation relating the span in Fractional
Fourier domain with the amplitude and phase functions of the signal,
which is further used to study the variation of quality factor with
different values of the transform order. It is seen that with the
increase in the number of transients in the signal, the deviation of
average Fractional Fourier span from the frequency bandwidth
increases. Also, with the increase in the transient nature of the signal,
the optimum value of transform order can be estimated based on the
quality factor variation, and this value is found to be very close to
that for which one can obtain the most compact representation. With
the entire mathematical analysis and experimentation, we consolidate
the fact that Fractional Fourier Transform gives more optimal
representations for a number of transform orders than Fourier
transform.
Abstract: The purpose of this study is comparing and analysing
of the financial characteristics for development methods of the urban development project in the established area, focusing on the
multi-level replotting.
Analysis showed that the type of the lowest expenditure was
'combination type of group-land and multi-level replotting' and the type of the highest profitability was 'multi-level replotting type'. But
'multi-level replotting type' has still risk of amount of cost for the additional architecture. In addition, we subdivided standard amount
for liquidation of replotting and analysed income-expenditure flow.
Analysis showed that both of 'multi-level replotting type' and 'combination type of group-land and multi-level replotting' improved
profitability of project and property change ratio. However, when the
standard was under a certain amount, amount of original property for the replotting was increased exponentially, and profitability of project.

Abstract: In this study, shaking table tests are performed to investigate the behavior of excess pore water pressure in different soft soil-foundations of soil-structure interaction (SSI) system. The variation of the behaviors under cycled minor shock is observed. Moreover, The generation and variation mechanism of excess pore water pressure under earthquake excitation in different soft soilfoundations are analyzed and discussed.
Abstract: Saturated two-phase fluid flows are often subject to
pressure induced oscillations. Due to compressibility the vapor
bubbles act as a spring with an asymmetric non-linear characteristic.
The volume of the vapor bubbles increases or decreases differently if
the pressure fluctuations are compressing or expanding;
consequently, compressing pressure fluctuations in a two-phase pipe
flow cause less displacement in the direction of the pipe flow than
expanding pressure fluctuations. The displacement depends on the
ratio of liquid to vapor, the ratio of pressure fluctuations over average
pressure and on the exciting frequency of the pressure fluctuations.
In addition, pressure fluctuations in saturated vapor bubbles cause
condensation and evaporation within the bubbles and change
periodically the ratio between liquid to vapor, and influence the
dynamical parameters for the oscillation. The oscillations are
conforming to an isenthalpic process at constant enthalpy with no
heat transfer and no exchange of work.
The paper describes the governing non-linear equation for twophase
fluid oscillations with condensation and evaporation, and
presents steady state approximate solutions for free and for pressure
induced oscillations. Resonance criteria and stability are discussed.
Abstract: Project selection problems on management
information system (MIS) are often considered a multi-criteria
decision-making (MCDM) for a solving method. These problems
contain two aspects, such as interdependencies among criteria and
candidate projects and qualitative and quantitative factors of projects.
However, most existing methods reported in literature consider these
aspects separately even though these two aspects are simultaneously
incorporated. For this reason, we proposed a hybrid method using
analytic network process (ANP) and fuzzy logic in order to represent
both aspects. We then propose a goal programming model to conduct
an optimization for the project selection problems interpreted by a
hybrid concept. Finally, a numerical example is conducted as
verification purposes.

reducing accidents, time consumption, and to eliminating drawbacks
by using superconducting levitation phenomenon. This invention of
an airplane with superconductive material coating, on the solar plexus

superconductor landing system reduces ground friction, mission fuel,
total drag, take-off and landing distance.
Abstract: This research focus on the intrusion detection system (IDS) development which using artificial immune system (AIS) with population based incremental learning (PBIL). AIS have powerful distinguished capability to extirpate antigen when the antigen intrude into human body. The PBIL is based on past learning experience to adjust new learning. Therefore we propose an intrusion detection system call PBIL-AIS which combine two approaches of PBIL and AIS to evolution computing. In AIS part we design three mechanisms such as clonal selection, negative selection and antibody level to intensify AIS performance. In experimental result, our PBIL-AIS IDS can capture high accuracy when an intrusion connection attacks.
Abstract: A 3.5-bit stage of the CMOS pipelined ADC is proposed. In this report, the main part of 3.5-bit stage ADC is introduced. How the MDAC, comparator and encoder worked and designed are shown in details. Besides, an OTA which is used in fully differential pipelined ADC was described. Using gain-boost architecture with differential amplifier, this OTA achieve high-gain and high-speed. This design was using CMOS 0.18um process and simulation in Cadence. The result of the simulation shows that the OTA has a gain up to 80dB, the unity gain bandwidth of about 1.138GHz with 2pF load.
Abstract: Human skull is shown to exhibit numerous sexually dimorphic traits. Estimation of sex is a challenging task especially when a part of skull is brought for medicolegal investigation. The present research was planned to evaluate the sexing potential of the dimensions of foramen magnum in forensic identification by craniometric analysis. Length and breadth of the foramen magnum was measured using Vernier calipers and the area of foramen magnum was calculated. The length, breadth, and area of foramen magnum were found to be larger in males than females. Sexual dimorphism index was calculated to estimate the sexing potential of each variable. The study observations are suggestive of the limited utility of the craniometric analysis of foramen magnum during the examination of skull and its parts in estimation of sex.
Abstract: A water reuse system in wetland paddy was simulated
to supply water for industrial in this paper. A two-tank model was employed to represent the return flow of the wetland paddy.Historical data were performed for parameter estimation and model verification. With parameters estimated from the data, the model was then used to simulate a reasonable return flow rate from the wetland
paddy. The simulation results show that the return flow ratio was 11.56% in the first crop season and 35.66% in the second crop
season individually; the difference may result from the heavy rainfall in the second crop season. Under the existent pond with surplus
active capacity, the water reuse ratio was 17.14%, and the water supplementary ratio was 21.56%. However, the pattern of rainfall, the
active capacity of the pond, and the rate of water treatment limit the
volume of reuse water. Increasing the irrigation water, dredging the
depth of pond before rainy season and enlarging the scale of module are help to develop water reuse system to support for the industrial
water use around wetland paddy.
Abstract: Under the limitation of investment budget, a utility
company is required to maximize the utilization of their existing
assets during their life cycle satisfying both engineering and financial
requirements. However, utility does not have knowledge about the
status of each asset in the portfolio neither in terms of technical nor
financial values. This paper presents a knowledge based model for
the utility companies in order to make an optimal decision on power
transformer with their utilization. CommonKADS methodology, a
structured development for knowledge and expertise representation,
is utilized for designing and developing knowledge based model. A
case study of One MVA power transformer of Nepal Electricity
Authority is presented. The results show that the reusable knowledge
can be categorized, modeled and utilized within the utility company
using the proposed methodologies. Moreover, the results depict that
utility company can achieve both engineering and financial benefits
from its utilization.
Abstract: Education, as the most important resource in any country, has multiplying effects on all facets of development in a society. The new social realities, particularly the interplay between democratization of education; unprecedented developments in IT sector; emergence of knowledge society, liberalization of economy and globalization have greatly influenced the educational process of all nations. This turbulence entails upon education to undergo dramatic changes to keep up with the new expectations. Growth of entrepreneurship among Indian women is highly important for empowering them and this is highly essential for socio-economic development of a society. Unfortunately in India there is poor acceptance of entrepreneurship among women as unfounded myths and fears restrain them to be enterprising. To remove these inhibitions, education system needs to be re-engineered to make entrepreneurship more acceptable. This paper empirically analyses the results of a survey done on around 500 female graduates in North India to measure and evaluate various entrepreneurial traits present in them. A formative model has been devised in this context, which should improve the teaching-learning process in our education system, which can lead to sustainable growth of women entrepreneurship in India.
