Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the QoE (Quality of Experience) IPTV SDN-based media streaming server enhanced architecture for configuring, controlling, management and provisioning the improved delivery of IPTV service application with low cost, low bandwidth, and high security. Furthermore, it is given a virtual QoE IPTV SDN-based topology to provide an improved IPTV service based on QoE Control and Management of multimedia services functionalities. Inside OpenFlow SDN Controller there are enabled in high flexibility and efficiency Service Load-Balancing Systems; based on the Loading-Balance module and based on GeoIP Service. This two Load-balancing system improve IPTV end-users Quality of Experience (QoE) with optimal management of resources greatly. Through the key functionalities of OpenFlow SDN controller, this approach produced several important features, opportunities for overcoming the critical QoE metrics for IPTV Service like achieving incredible Fast Zapping time (Channel Switching time) < 0.1 seconds. This approach enabled Easy and Powerful Transcoding system via FFMPEG encoder. It has the ability to customize streaming dimensions bitrates, latency management and maximum transfer rates ensuring delivering of IPTV streaming services (Audio and Video) in high flexibility, low bandwidth and required performance. This QoE IPTV SDN-based media streaming architecture unlike other architectures provides the possibility of Channel Exchanging between several IPTV service providers all over the word. This new functionality brings many benefits as increasing the number of TV channels received by end –users with low cost, decreasing stream failure time (Channel Failure time < 0.1 seconds) and improving the quality of streaming services.
Abstract: Next Generation Wireless Network (NGWN) is
expected to be a heterogeneous network which integrates all different
Radio Access Technologies (RATs) through a common platform. A
major challenge is how to allocate users to the most suitable RAT for
them. An optimized solution can lead to maximize the efficient use
of radio resources, achieve better performance for service providers
and provide Quality of Service (QoS) with low costs to users.
Currently, Radio Resource Management (RRM) is implemented
efficiently for the RAT that it was developed. However, it is not
suitable for a heterogeneous network. Common RRM (CRRM) was
proposed to manage radio resource utilization in the heterogeneous
network. This paper presents a user level Markov model for a three
co-located RAT networks. The load-balancing based and service
based CRRM algorithms have been studied using the presented
Markov model. A comparison for the performance of load-balancing
based and service based CRRM algorithms is studied in terms of
traffic distribution, new call blocking probability, vertical handover
(VHO) call dropping probability and throughput.
Abstract: This paper presents an efficient algorithm for
optimization of radial distribution systems by a network
reconfiguration to balance feeder loads and eliminate overload
conditions. The system load-balancing index is used to determine the
loading conditions of the system and maximum system loading
capacity. The index value has to be minimum in the optimal network
reconfiguration of load balancing. A method based on Tabu search
algorithm, The Tabu search algorithm is employed to search for the
optimal network reconfiguration. The basic idea behind the search is
a move from a current solution to its neighborhood by effectively
utilizing a memory to provide an efficient search for optimality. It
presents low computational effort and is able to find good quality
configurations. Simulation results for a radial 69-bus system with
distributed generations and capacitors placement. The study results
show that the optimal on/off patterns of the switches can be identified
to give the best network reconfiguration involving balancing of
feeder loads while respecting all the constraints.
Abstract: Recently, the improvements in processing performance
of a computer and in high speed communication of an optical fiber
have been achieved, so that the amount of data which are processed
by a computer and flowed on a network has been increasing greatly.
However, in a client-server system, since the server receives and
processes the amount of data from the clients through the network, a
load on the server is increasing. Thus, there are needed to introduce
a server with high processing ability and to have a line with high
bandwidth. In this paper, concerning to P2P networks to resolve the
load on a specific server, a criterion called an Indexed-Priority Metric
is proposed and its performance is evaluated. The proposed metric is
to allocate some files to each node. As a result, the load on a specific
server can distribute them to each node equally well. A P2P file
sharing system using the proposed metric is implemented. Simulation
results show that the proposed metric can make it distribute files on
the specific server.
Abstract: Grid networks provide the ability to perform higher throughput computing by taking advantage of many networked computer-s resources to solve large-scale computation problems. As the popularity of the Grid networks has increased, there is a need to efficiently distribute the load among the resources accessible on the network. In this paper, we present a stochastic network system that gives a distributed load-balancing scheme by generating almost regular networks. This network system is self-organized and depends only on local information for load distribution and resource discovery. The in-degree of each node is refers to its free resources, and job assignment and resource discovery processes required for load balancing is accomplished by using fitted random sampling. Simulation results show that the generated network system provides an effective, scalable, and reliable load-balancing scheme for the distributed resources accessible on Grid networks.
Abstract: Wireless LAN (WLAN) access in public hotspot areas
becomes popular in the recent years. Since more and more multimedia
information is available in the Internet, there is an increasing demand
for accessing multimedia information through WLAN hotspots.
Currently, the bandwidth offered by an IEEE 802.11 WLAN cannot
afford many simultaneous real-time video accesses. A possible way to
increase the offered bandwidth in a hotspot is the use of multiple access
points (APs). However, a mobile station is usually connected to the
WLAN AP with the strongest received signal strength indicator (RSSI).
The total consumed bandwidth cannot be fairly allocated among those
APs. In this paper, we will propose an effective load-balancing scheme
via the support of the IAPP and SNMP in APs. The proposed scheme is
an open solution and doesn-t need any changes in both wireless stations
and APs. This makes load balancing possible in WLAN hotspots,
where a variety of heterogeneous mobile devices are employed.
