Abstract: The brain MR imaging-based clinical research and analysis system were specifically built and the development for a large-scale data was targeted. We used the general clinical data available for building large-scale data. Registration period for the selection of the lesion ROI and the region growing algorithm was used and the Mesh-warp algorithm for matching was implemented. The accuracy of the matching errors was modified individually. Also, the large ROI research data can accumulate by our developed compression method. In this way, the correctly decision criteria to the research result was suggested. The experimental groups were age, sex, MR type, patient ID and smoking which can easily be queries. The result data was visualized of the overlapped images by a color table. Its data was calculated by the statistical package. The evaluation for the utilization of this system in the chronic ischemic damage in the area has done from patients with the acute cerebral infarction. This is the cause of neurologic disability index location in the center portion of the lateral ventricle facing. The corona radiate was found in the position. Finally, the system reliability was measured both inter-user and intra-user registering correlation.
Abstract: The study investigated the effects of Teaching Games
for Understanding approach on students ‘cognitive learning outcome.
The study was a quasi-experimental non-equivalent pretest-posttest
control group design whereby 10 year old primary school students
(n=72) were randomly assigned to an experimental and a control
group. The experimental group students were exposed with TGfU
approach and the control group with the Traditional Skill approach of
handball game. Game Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI)
was used to measure students' tactical understanding and decision
making in 3 versus 3 handball game situations. Analysis of
covariance (ANCOVA) was used to analyze the data. The results
reveal that there was a significant difference between the TGfU
approach group and the traditional skill approach group students on
post test score (F (1, 69) = 248.83, p < .05). The findings of this
study suggested the importance of TGfU approach to improve
primary students’ tactical understanding and decision making in
handball game.
Abstract: This experiment was conducted to investigate the
effect of dietary supplementation of different levels of black seed
(Nigella sativa L.) on the performance and immune response of broiler chicks. A total 240 day-old broiler chicks were used and
randomly allotted equally into six experimental groups designated as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 having black seed at the rate of 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and
10 g /kg diet respectively. The study was lasted for 42 days. Average body weight, weight gain, relative growth rate, feed
conversion, antibody titer against Newcastle disease, phagocytic activity and phagocytic index, some blood parameters(GOT, GPT,
Glucose, Cholesterol, Triglyceride, Total protein, Albumen, WBCs,
RBCs, Hb and PCV), dressing percentage, weight of different body
organs, abdominal fat weight, were determined. It was found that, N. Sativa significantly improved final body weight, total body gain
and feed conversion ratio of groups 2 and 3 when compared with the control group. Higher levels of N. Sativa did not improve
growth performance of the chicks. Non significant differences were
observed for antibody titer against Newcastle virus, WBCs count,
serum GOT, glucose level, dressing %, relative liver, spleen, heart and head percentages. Lymphoid organs (Bursa and Thymus)
improved significantly with increasing N. Sativa level in all supplemented groups. Serum cholesterol, triglyceride and visible fat
% significantly decreased with Nigella sativa supplementation while
serum GPT level significantly increased with nigella sativa
supplementation.

Abstract: This study examined the effects of neuromuscular
training (NT) on limits of stability (LOS) in female individuals.
Twenty female basketball amateurs were assigned into NT
experimental group or control group by volunteer. All the players were
underwent regular basketball practice, 90 minutes, 3 times per week
for 6 weeks, but the NT experimental group underwent extra NT with
plyometric and core training, 50 minutes, 3 times per week for 6 weeks
during this period. Limits of stability (LOS) were evaluated by the
Biodex Balance System. One factor ANCOVA was used to examine
the differences between groups after training. The significant level for

Abstract: This study examined the effects of eight weeks of
whole-body vibration training (WBVT) on vertical and decuple jump
performance in handball athletes. Sixteen collegiate Level I handball
athletes volunteered for this study. They were divided equally as
control group and experimental group (EG). During the period of the
study, all athletes underwent the same handball specific training, but
the EG received additional WBVT (amplitude: 2 mm, frequency: 20 -
40 Hz) three time per week for eight consecutive weeks. The vertical
jump performance was evaluated according to the maximum height of
squat jump (SJ) and countermovement jump (CMJ). Single factor
ANCOVA was used to examine the differences in each parameter
between the groups after training with the pretest values as a covariate.
The statistic significance was set at p < .05. After 8 weeks WBVT, the
EG had significantly improved the maximal height of SJ (40.92 ± 2.96
cm vs. 48.40 ± 4.70 cm, F = 5.14, p < .05) and the maximal height
CMJ (47.25 ± 7.48 cm vs. 52.20 ± 6.25 cm, F = 5.31, p < .05). 8 weeks
of additional WBVT could improve the vertical and decuple jump
performance in handball athletes. Enhanced motor unit
synchronization and firing rates, facilitated muscular contraction
stretch-shortening cycle, and improved lower extremity
neuromuscular coordination could account for these enhancements.

Abstract: Introduction: Visual performance is an important factor in sport excellence. Visual involvement in a sport varies according to environmental demands associated with that sport. These environmental demands are matched by a task specific motor response. The purpose of this study was to determine if sport specific exercises will improve the visual performance of male rugby players, in order to achieve maximal results on the sports field. Materials & Methods: Twenty six adult male rugby players, aged 16-22, were chosen as subjects. In order to evaluate the effect of sport specific exercises on visual skills, a pre-test - post-test experimental group design was adopted for the study. Results: Significant differences (p≤0.05) were seen in the focussing, tracking, vergence, sequencing, eye-hand coordination and visualisation components Discussion & Conclusions: Sport specific exercises improved visual skills in rugby players which may provide them with an advantage over their opponents. This study suggests that these training programs and participation in regular on-line EyeDrills sports vision exercises (www.eyedrills.co.za) aimed at improving the athlete-s visual coordination, concentration, focus, hand-eye co-ordination, anticipation and motor response should be incorpotated in the rugby players exercise regime.
Abstract: The fast growing accessibility and capability of emerging technologies have fashioned enormous possibilities of designing, developing and implementing innovative teaching methods in the classroom. The global technological scenario has paved the way to new pedagogies in teaching-learning process focusing on technology based learning environment and its impact on student achievement. The present experimental study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of technology based learning environment on student achievement in English as a foreign language. The sample of the study was 90 students of 10th grade of a public school located in Islamabad. A pretest- posttest equivalent group design was used to compare the achievement of the two groups. A Pretest and A posttest containing 50 items each from English textbook were developed and administered. The collected data were statistically analyzed. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the mean scores of Experimental group and the Control group. The performance of Experimental group was better on posttest scores that indicted that teaching through technology based learning environment enhanced the achievement level of the students. On the basis of the results, it was recommended that teaching and learning through information and communication technologies may be adopted to enhance the language learning capability of the students.
Abstract: We evaluated the effect of sensory (direct current
(DC), 600μA) and motor (monophasic current, pulse duration 300μs,
100 Hz, 2.5-3mA) intensities of cathodal electrical stimulation (ES)
current to release VEGF and biomechanical properties of wound. 54
male Sprague-dawley rats were randomly assigned into one control
and two experimental groups. A full thickness skin incision was
made on animals- dorsal region. The experimental groups received
ES for 1h/day and every other day. VEGF expression was measured
in skin on the 7th day after surgical incision and tensile strength was
measured on 21st day. On the 7th day, the values of skin VEGF in the
sensory group were significantly greater than those of the other
groups (p < 0.05). Sensory and Motor intensity stimulation, can not
improve the biomechanical properties of the repaired wounds.
It seems the mechanical environment induced by sensory and
motor intensity of electrical stimulation, could not simulate the role
of normal daily stress and strain to maturation of collagen fibers and
their cross links. Further work is needed to determine the relationship
between VEGF expression after ES and its effect on tensile strength
of healed wound.

Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of
supplementing the diluent of roosters' semen with different levels of
olive oil on motility, viability, morphology and acrosome integrity of
chicken spermatozoa after in vitro storage for up to 72 h. Semen was
collected from 60 White Layer males (62 wk of age) kept in
separated floor pens and randomly divided into six treatment groups
(10 males in each group). Experimental groups were as follows: T1
:fresh semen, T2 : semen extended 1:1 with Al – Daraji 2 diluent
(AD2D) alone, T3 – T6 :semen samples extended 1:1 with AD2D
supplemented with 2 ml, 4 ml, 6 ml or 8 ml of olive oil / 100 ml of
diluent, respectively. Semen samples were then stored at 5 °C for 24
h, 48 h or 72 h. There was a clear influence of diluent
supplementation with olive oil on the spermatozoa motility profile;
olive oil groups (T3, T4, T5 and T6) recorded the highest scores of
mass activity and individual motility during all storage periods
compared to T1 and T2 groups. In addition, the inclusion of olive oil
into semen diluent (T3, T4, T5 and T6) gave significantly higher
percentages of viable spermatozoa, normal morphologically
spermatozoa and intact acrosomes irrespective of storage period.
These results clearly show that supplementation the diluent of
roosters' semen with olive oil can improve semen quality when
semen samples in vitro stored at 5 °C for up to 72 h.
Abstract: A thirty Rahmani weaned male lambs of average body weight (27.28±1.40 kg) were randomly allotted to three similar groups, ten lambs in each, to study the benefit of commercial feed additives Tonilisat (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and Roemin W2 (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus thermophilus, Bifidobacterium and Lactose) as growth promoters on lambs performance, digestibility, rumen activity and some blood constituents. The experiment lasted about 107 days. Three experimental groups were allotted as control group: received the basal ration, T1 group: received the basal ration supplemented with Tonilisat as (0.5kg/ ton concentrate feed mixture) and T2 group: received the basal ration supplemented with Roemin W2 (1kg/ ton concentrate feed mixture). Our study revealed that addition of Tonilisat significantly increased digestion coefficient of crude protein than that of the control group, Furthermore, the supplementation of Tonilisat or Roemin W2 increased (p
Abstract: The main objective of this study was to demonstrate that differentiation of infected and vaccinated animals (DIVA) strategy using different ELISA tests is possible when a subunit vaccine (Haemagglutinin protein) is used to prevent Avian influenza. Special emphasis was placed on the differentiation in the serological response to different components of the AIV (Nucleoprotein, Neuraminidase, Haemagglutinin, Nucleocapsid) between chickens that were vaccinated with a whole virus kill vaccine and recombinant vaccine. Furthermore, the potential use of this DIVA strategy using ELISA assays to detect Neuraminidase 1 (N1) was analyzed as strategy in countries where the field virus is H5N1 and the vaccine used is formulated with H5N2. Detection of AIV-s antibodies to any component in serum was negative for all animals on the study days 0-13. At study day 14 the titers of antibodies against Nucleoprotein (NP) and Nucleocapsid (NC) rose in the experimental groups vaccinated with Volvac® AI KV and were negatives during all the trial in the experimental groups vaccinated with a subunit H5; significant statistically differences were observed between these groups (p < 0.05). The seroconversion either Haemagglutinin or Neuraminidase was evident after 21 days post-vaccination in the experimental groups vaccinated with the respective viral fraction. Regarding the main aim of this study and according with the results that were obtained, use a combination of different ELISA test as a DIVA strategy is feasible when the vaccination is carry out with a subunit H5 vaccine. Also is possible to use the ELISA kit to detect Neuraminidase (either N1 or N2) as a DIVA concept in countries where H5N1 is present and the vaccination programs are done with H5N2 vaccine.
