Abstract: Steganalysis seeks to detect the presence of secret data embedded in cover objects, and there is an imminent demand to detect hidden messages in streaming media. This paper shows how a steganalysis algorithm based on Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) can be used to detect the existence of secret data embedded in streaming media. The proposed algorithm uses machine parameter characteristics and a network sniffer to determine whether the Internet traffic contains streaming channels. The detected streaming data is then transferred from the time domain to the frequency domain through FFT. The distributions of power spectra in the frequency domain between original VoIP streams and stego VoIP streams are compared in turn using t-test, achieving the p-value of 7.5686E-176 which is below the threshold. The results indicate that the proposed FFT-based steganalysis algorithm is effective in detecting the secret data embedded in VoIP streaming media.
Abstract: The electroencephalograph (EEG) signal is one of the most widely signal used in the bioinformatics field due to its rich information about human tasks. In this work EEG waves classification is achieved using the Discrete Wavelet Transform DWT with Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) by adopting the normalized EEG data. The DWT is used as a classifier of the EEG wave's frequencies, while FFT is implemented to visualize the EEG waves in multi-resolution of DWT. Several real EEG data sets (real EEG data for both normal and abnormal persons) have been tested and the results improve the validity of the proposed technique.
Abstract: Anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into a decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, anodic oxide finish. Aluminum is ideally suited to anodizing, although other nonferrous metals, such as magnesium and titanium, also can be anodized. The anodic oxide structure originates from the aluminum substrate and is composed entirely of aluminum oxide. This aluminum oxide is not applied to the surface like paint or plating, but is fully integrated with the underlying aluminum substrate, so cannot chip or peel. It has a highly ordered, porous structure that allows for secondary processes such as coloring and sealing. In this experimental paper, we focus on a reliable method for fabricating nanoporous alumina with high regularity. Starting from study of nanostructure materials synthesize methods. After that, porous alumina fabricate in the laboratory by anodization of aluminum oxide. Hard anodization processes are employed to fabricate the nanoporous alumina using 0.3M oxalic acid and 90, 120 and 140 anodized voltages. The nanoporous templates were characterized by SEM and FFT. The nanoporous templates using 140 voltages have high ordered. The pore formation, influence of the experimental conditions on the pore formation, the structural characteristics of the pore and the oxide chemical reactions involved in the pore growth are discuss.
Abstract: In this paper a bank of velocity filters is devised to be
used for isolating a moving object with specific velocity in a sequence of frames. The approach used is a 3-D FFT based experimental procedure without applying any theoretical concept
from velocity filters. Accordingly, velocity filters are built using the
spectral signature of each separate moving object. Experimentation
reveals the capabilities of the constructed filter bank to separate moving objects as far as the amplitude as well as the direction of the
velocity are concerned.
Abstract: This paper presents the experimental results of
comparison between leakage currents and discharge currents. The leakage currents were obtained on polluted porcelain insulator.
Whereas, the discharge currents were obtained on lightly artificial
polluted porcelain specimen. The conducted measurements were
leakage current or discharge current and applied voltage. The insulator or specimen was in a hermetically sealed chamber, and the
current waveforms were analyzed using FFT.
The result indicated that the leakage current (LC) on low RH condition the fifth harmonic would be visible, and followed by the
seventh harmonic. The insulator had capacitive property. Otherwise,
on 99% relative humidity, the fifth harmonic would also be visible,
and the phase angle reached up to 12.2 degree. Whereas, on discharge current, the third harmonic would be visible, and followed
by fifth harmonic. The third harmonic would increase as pressure reduced. On this condition, the specimen had a non-linear characteristics
Abstract: The measurement of anesthetic depth is necessary in
anesthesiology. NN10 is very simple method among the RR intervals
analysis methods. NN10 parameter means the numbers of above the 10
ms intervals of the normal to normal RR intervals.
Bispectrum analysis is defined as 2D FFT. EEG signal reflected the
non-linear peristalsis phenomena according to the change brain
function. After analyzing the bispectrum of the 2 dimension, the most
significant power spectrum density peaks appeared abundantly at the
specific area in awakening and anesthesia state. These points are
utilized to create the new index since many peaks appeared at the
specific area in the frequency coordinate. The measured range of an
index was 0-100. An index is 20-50 at an anesthesia, while the index is
90-60 at the awake.
In this paper, the relation between NN10 parameter using ECG and
bisepctrum index using EEG is observed to estimate the depth of
anesthesia during anesthesia and then we estimated the utility of the
anesthetic.
Abstract: To successfully provide a fast FIR filter with FTT algorithms, overlapped-save algorithms can be used to lower the computational complexity and achieve the desired real-time processing. As the length of the input block increases in order to improve the efficiency, a larger volume of zero padding will greatly increase the computation length of the FFT. In this paper, we use the overlapped block digital filtering to construct a parallel structure. As long as the down-sampling (or up-sampling) factor is an exact multiple lengths of the impulse response of a FIR filter, we can process the input block by using a parallel structure and thus achieve a low-complex fast FIR filter with overlapped-save algorithms. With a long filter length, the performance and the throughput of the digital filtering system will also be greatly enhanced.
Abstract: This paper presents the experimental results of
discharge current phenomena on various humidity, temperature,
pressure and pollutant conditions of epoxy resin specimen. The
leakage distance of specimen was 3 cm, that it was supplied by high
voltage. The polluted condition was given with NaCl artificial
pollutant. The conducted measurements were discharge current and
applied voltage. The specimen was put in a hermetically sealed
chamber, and the current waveforms were analyzed with FFT.
The result indicated that on discharge condition, the fifth
harmonics still had dominant, rather than third one. The third
harmonics tent to be appeared on low pressure heavily polluted
condition, and followed by high humidity heavily polluted condition.
On the heavily polluted specimen, the peaks discharge current points
would be high and more frequent. Nevertheless, the specimen still
had capacitive property. Besides that, usually discharge current
points were more frequent. The influence of low pressure was still
dominant to be easier to discharge. The non-linear property would be
appear explicitly on low pressure and heavily polluted condition.
