Abstract: Sweep frequency response analysis has been turning
out a powerful tool for investigation of mechanical as well as
electrical integration of transformers. In this paper various aspect of
practical application of SFRA has been studied. Open circuit and
short circuit measurement were done on different phases of high
voltage and low voltage winding. A case study was presented for the
transformer of rating 31.5 MVA for various frequency ranges. A
clear picture was presented for sub- frequency ranges for HV as well
as LV winding. The main motive of work is to investigate high
voltage short circuit response. The theoretical concept about SFRA
responses is validated with expert system software results.
Abstract: As computing technology advances, smartphone
applications can assist student learning in a pervasive way. For
example, the idea of using mobile apps for the PA Common Trees,
Pests, Pathogens, in the field as a reference tool allows middle school
students to learn about trees and associated pests/pathogens without
bringing a textbook. While working on the development of three heterogeneous mobile
apps, we ran into numerous challenges. Both the traditional waterfall
model and the more modern agile methodologies failed in practice.
The waterfall model emphasizes the planning of the duration for each
phase. When the duration of each phase is not consistent with the
availability of developers, the waterfall model cannot be employed.
When applying Agile Methodologies, we cannot maintain the high
frequency of the iterative development review process, known as
‘sprints’. In this paper, we discuss the challenges and solutions. We
propose a hybrid model known as the Relay Race Methodology to
reflect the concept of racing and relaying during the process of
software development in practice. Based on the development project,
we observe that the modeling of the relay race transition between any
two phases is manifested naturally. Thus, we claim that the RRM
model can provide a de fecto rather than a de jure basis for the core
concept in the software development model. In this paper, the background of the project is introduced first.
Then, the challenges are pointed out followed by our solutions.
Finally, the experiences learned and the future works are presented.
Abstract: Large-scale machine tools for the manufacturing of
large work pieces, e.g. blades, casings or gears for wind turbines,
feature pose-dependent dynamic behavior. Small structural damping
coefficients lead to long decay times for structural vibrations that
have negative impacts on the production process. Typically, these
vibrations are handled by increasing the stiffness of the structure by
adding mass. This is counterproductive to the needs of sustainable
manufacturing as it leads to higher resource consumption both in
material and in energy. Recent research activities have led to higher
resource efficiency by radical mass reduction that is based on controlintegrated
active vibration avoidance and damping methods. These
control methods depend on information describing the dynamic
behavior of the controlled machine tools in order to tune the
avoidance or reduction method parameters according to the current
state of the machine. This paper presents the appearance, consequences and challenges
of the pose-dependent dynamic behavior of lightweight large-scale
machine tool structures in production. It starts with the theoretical
introduction of the challenges of lightweight machine tool structures
resulting from reduced stiffness. The statement of the pose-dependent
dynamic behavior is corroborated by the results of the experimental
modal analysis of a lightweight test structure. Afterwards, the
consequences of the pose-dependent dynamic behavior of lightweight
machine tool structures for the use of active control and vibration
reduction methods are explained. Based on the state of the art of
pose-dependent dynamic machine tool models and the modal
investigation of an FE-model of the lightweight test structure, the
criteria for a pose-dependent model for use in vibration reduction are
derived. The description of the approach for a general posedependent
model of the dynamic behavior of large lightweight
machine tools that provides the necessary input to the aforementioned
vibration avoidance and reduction methods to properly tackle
machine vibrations is the outlook of the paper.
Abstract: This paper is meant to analyze the ranking of
University of Malaysia Terengganu, UMT’s website in the World
Wide Web. There are only few researches have been done on
comparing the ranking of universities’ websites so this research will
be able to determine whether the existing UMT’s website is serving
its purpose which is to introduce UMT to the world. The ranking is
based on hub and authority values which are accordance to the
structure of the website. These values are computed using two websearching
algorithms, HITS and SALSA. Three other universities’
websites are used as the benchmarks which are UM, Harvard and
Stanford. The result is clearly showing that more work has to be done
on the existing UMT’s website where important pages according to
the benchmarks, do not exist in UMT’s pages. The ranking of UMT’s
website will act as a guideline for the web-developer to develop a
more efficient website.
Abstract: This study presents experimental and optimization of
nanoparticle mass concentration and heat input based on the total
thermal resistance (Rth) of loop heat pipe (LHP), employed for PCCPU
cooling. In this study, silica nanoparticles (SiO2) in water with
particle mass concentration ranged from 0% (pure water) to 1% is
considered as the working fluid within the LHP. The experimental
design and optimization is accomplished by the design of
experimental tool, Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The
results show that the nanoparticle mass concentration and the heat
input have significant effect on the Rth of LHP. For a given heat
input, the Rth is found to decrease with the increase of the
nanoparticle mass concentration up to 0.5% and increased thereafter.
It is also found that the Rth is decreased when the heat input is
increased from 20W to 60W. The results are optimized with the
objective of minimizing the Rth, using Design-Expert software, and
the optimized nanoparticle mass concentration and heat input are
0.48% and 59.97W, respectively, the minimum thermal resistance
being 2.66 (ºC/W).
Abstract: The paper is focused to the evaluation railway tracks
in the Slovakia by using Multi-Criteria method. Evaluation of railway
tracks has important impacts for the assessment of investment in
technical equipment. Evaluation of railway tracks also has an
important impact for the allocation of marshalling yards. Marshalling
yards are in transport model as centers for the operation assigned
catchment area. This model is one of the effective ways to meet the
development strategy of the European Community's railways. By
applying this model in practice, a transport company can guarantee a
higher quality of service and then expect an increase in performance.
The model is also applicable to other rail networks. This model
supplements a theoretical problem of train formation problem of new
ways of looking at evaluation of factors affecting the organization of
wagon flows.
Abstract: Distance learning systems offer useful methods of

Levenberg-Marquardt training algorithm classify selected features.
Abstract: This investigation is focused on using of Mon dance
in Pathum Thani Province’s tradition and has the following
objectives: 1) to study the background of Mon dance in Pathum
Thani Province; 2) to study Mon dance in Pathum Thani Province;
and 3) to study of using Mon dance in Pathum Thani province’s
tradition. This qualitative research was conducted in Pathum Thani
province (in the central of Thailand). Data was collected from
documentary study and field data by means of observation, interview,
and group discussion. Workshops were also held with a total of 100
attendees, comprised of 20 key informants, 40 casual informants and
40 general informants. Data was validated using the triangulation
technique and the findings are presented using the descriptive
analysis. The results of the study show that the historical background
of Mon dance in Pathum Thani Province initiated during the war
evacuation from Martaban (south of Burma) to settle down in Sam
Khok, Pathum Thani Province in Ayutthaya period to Rattanakosin.
The study found that Mon dance typically consists of 12-13 dancing
process. The melodies have 12-13 songs. Piphat Mon (Mon
traditional music ensemble) is used in the performance. Performers
are dressed in Mon traditional costumes. The performers are 6-12
women and depending on the employer’s demands. Length of the
performance varies from the duration of music orchestration. Rituals
and customs performed are paying homage to teachers before the
performance. The offerings are composed of flowers, incense sticks,
candles, money gifts which are well arranged on a tray with pedestal,
and also liquors, tobaccos and pure water for asking propitiousness.
For the use of Mon dance in Pathum Thani Province’s tradition, it is
found that the dance is commonly performed in the funeral
ceremonial tradition at present because the physical postures of the
performance are considered graceful and exquisite. In addition, as for
its value, it has long been believed since the ancient times that Mon
dance was a sacred thing considered as the dignity and glorification
especially for funeral ceremonies of priest or royal hierarchy classes.
However, Mon dance has continued to be used in the traditions
associated with Mon people activities in Pathum Thani Province for
instance customary welcome for honor guest and Songkran festival.
Abstract: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), which sense
environmental data with battery-powered nodes, require multi-hop
communication. This power-demanding task adds an extra workload
that is unfairly distributed across the network. As a result, nodes run
out of battery at different times: this requires an impractical
individual node maintenance scheme. Therefore we investigate a new
Cooperative Sensing approach that extends the WSN operational life
and allows a more practical network maintenance scheme (where all
nodes deplete their batteries almost at the same time). We propose a
novel cooperative algorithm that derives a piecewise representation
of the sensed signal while controlling approximation accuracy.
Simulations show that our algorithm increases WSN operational life
and spreads communication workload evenly. Results convey a
counterintuitive conclusion: distributing workload fairly amongst
nodes may not decrease the network power consumption and yet
extend the WSN operational life. This is achieved as our cooperative
approach decreases the workload of the most burdened cluster in the
network.
Abstract: In turbulent modern economy, the companies need to
properly manage their business processes. Well-defined and stable
business processes ensure security of crucial data and applications,
and provide a quality product or service to the end customer. On the
other side, constant changes on the market, new regulatory
provisions, and emerging new technologies require the need of
issuing prompt and effective changes of business process. In this
article, we explore the use of agile principles in working with
business process management (BPM) solutions. We deal with
difficulties in BPM development cycle, review the benefits of using
agility, and choose the basic agile principles that ensure the success
of a BPM project.
Abstract: Recent investigations have demonstrated the global
sea level rise due to climate change impacts. In this study, climate
changes study the effects of increasing water level in the strait of
Hormuz. The probable changes of sea level rise should be
investigated to employ the adaption strategies. The climatic output
data of a GCM (General Circulation Model) named CGCM3 under
climate change scenario of A1b and A2 were used. Among different
variables simulated by this model, those of maximum correlation
with sea level changes in the study region and least redundancy
among themselves were selected for sea level rise prediction by using
stepwise regression. One of models (Discrete Wavelet artificial
Neural Network) was developed to explore the relationship between
climatic variables and sea level changes. In these models, wavelet
was used to disaggregate the time series of input and output data into
different components and then ANN was used to relate the
disaggregated components of predictors and input parameters to each
other. The results showed in the Shahid Rajae Station for scenario
A1B sea level rise is among 64 to 75 cm and for the A2 Scenario sea
level rise is among 90 t0 105 cm. Furthermore, the result showed a
significant increase of sea level at the study region under climate
change impacts, which should be incorporated in coastal areas
management.
Abstract: The paper is focused on the operational model for
transport the single wagon consignments on railway network by
using two different models of train formation. The paper gives an
overview of possibilities of improving the quality of transport
services. Paper deals with two models used in problematic of train
formatting - time continuously and time discrete. By applying these
models in practice, the transport company can guarantee a higher
quality of service and expect increasing of transport performance.
The models are also applicable into others transport networks. The
models supplement a theoretical problem of train formation by new
ways of looking to affecting the organization of wagon flows.
Abstract: Targeted drug delivery is a method of delivering
medication to a patient in a manner that increases the concentration
of the medication in some parts of the body relative to others.
Targeted drug delivery seeks to concentrate the medication in the
tissues of interest while reducing the relative concentration of the
medication in the remaining tissues. This improves efficacy of the
while reducing side effects. In the present work, we investigate the
effect of magnetic field, flow rate and particle concentration on the
capturing of magnetic particles transported in a stent implanted
fluidic channel. Iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4)
nanoparticles were synthesized via co-precipitation method. The
synthesized Fe3O4 nanoparticles were added in the de-ionized (DI)
water to prepare the Fe3O4 magnetic particle suspended fluid. This
fluid is transported in a cylindrical tube of diameter 8 mm with help
of a peristaltic pump at different flow rate (25-40 ml/min). A
ferromagnetic coil of SS 430 has been implanted inside the
cylindrical tube to enhance the capturing of magnetic nanoparticles
under magnetic field. The capturing of magnetic nanoparticles was
observed at different magnetic magnetic field, flow rate and particle
concentration. It is observed that capture efficiency increases from
47-67% at magnetic field 2-5kG, respectively at particle
concentration 0.6mg/ml and at flow rate 30 ml/min. However, the
capture efficiency decreases from 65 to 44% by increasing the flow
rate from 25 to 40 ml/min, respectively. Furthermore, it is observed
that capture efficiency increases from 51 to 67% by increasing the
particle concentration from 0.3 to 0.6 mg/ml, respectively.

ecological damage, this paper deeply researches on the main
characteristics of urban sustainability and measures how to build urban
sustainability. Through combining regional environmental with
economic ability along the coastal area, then authors put forward the
system planning framework, construction strategy and the evaluation
index system, in order to seek the way of building urban sustainability
along coastal area in China.
Abstract: In this paper, a novel fuzzy approach is developed
while solving the Dynamic Routing and Wavelength Assignment
(DRWA) problem in optical networks with Wavelength Division
Multiplexing (WDM). In this work, the effect of nonlinear and linear
impairments such as Four Wave Mixing (FWM) and amplifier
spontaneous emission (ASE) noise are incorporated respectively. The
novel algorithm incorporates fuzzy logic controller (FLC) to reduce
the effect of FWM noise and ASE noise on a requested lightpath
referred in this work as FWM aware fuzzy dynamic routing and
wavelength assignment algorithm. The FWM crosstalk products and
the static FWM noise power per link are pre computed in order to
reduce the set up time of a requested lightpath, and stored in an
offline database. These are retrieved during the setting up of a
lightpath and evaluated online taking the dynamic parameters like
cost of the links into consideration.
Abstract: Background: To improve the delivery of paediatric
healthcare in low resource settings, Community Health Workers
(CHW) have been provided with a paper-based set of protocols
known as Community Case Management (CCM). Yet research has
shown that CHW adherence to CCM guidelines is poor, ultimately
impacting health service delivery. Digitising the CCM guidelines via
mobile technology is argued in extant literature to improve CHW
adherence. However, little research exist which outlines how (a) this
process can be digitised and (b) adherence could be improved as a
result. Aim: To explore how an electronic mobile version of CCM
(eCCM) can overcome issues associated with the paper-based CCM
protocol (inadequate adherence to guidelines) vis-à-vis service
blueprinting. This service blueprint will outline how (a) the CCM
process can be digitised using mobile Clinical Decision Support
Systems software to support clinical decision-making and (b)
adherence can be improved as a result. Method: Development of a
single service blueprint for a standalone application which visually
depicts the service processes (eCCM) when supporting the CHWs,
using an application known as Supporting LIFE (SL eCCM app) as
an exemplar. Results: A service blueprint is developed which
illustrates how the SL eCCM app can be utilised by CHWs to assist
with the delivery of healthcare services to children. Leveraging
smartphone technologies can (a) provide CHWs with just-in-time
data to assist with their decision making at the point-of-care and (b)
improve CHW adherence to CCM guidelines. Conclusions: The
development of the eCCM opens up opportunities for the CHWs to
leverage the inherent benefit of mobile devices to assist them with
health service delivery in rural settings. To ensure that benefits are
achieved, it is imperative to comprehend the functionality and form
of the eCCM service process. By creating such a service blueprint for
an eCCM approach, CHWs are provided with a clear picture
regarding the role of the eCCM solution, often resulting in buy-in
from the end-users.
Abstract: Underwater acoustic networks have attracted great
attention in the last few years because of its numerous applications.
High data rate can be achieved by efficiently modeling the physical
layer in the network protocol stack. In Acoustic medium,
propagation speed of the acoustic waves is dependent on many
parameters such as temperature, salinity, density, and depth.
Acoustic propagation speed cannot be modeled using standard
empirical formulas such as Urick and Thorp descriptions. In this
paper, we have modeled the acoustic channel using real time data of
temperature, salinity, and speed of Bay of Bengal (Indian Coastal
Region). We have modeled the acoustic channel by using Mackenzie
speed equation and real time data obtained from National Institute of
Oceanography and Technology. It is found that acoustic propagation
speed varies between 1503 m/s to 1544 m/s as temperature and
depth differs. The simulation results show that temperature, salinity,
depth plays major role in acoustic propagation and data rate
increases with appropriate data sets substituted in the simulated
model.
