Abstract: This paper presents a software product quality evaluation model based on the ISO/IEC 25010 quality model. The evaluation characteristics and sub characteristics were identified from the ISO/IEC 25010 quality model. The multidimensional structure of the quality model is based on characteristics such as functional suitability, performance efficiency, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, maintainability, and portability, and associated sub characteristics. Random numbers are generated to establish the decision maker’s importance weights for each sub characteristics. Also, random numbers are generated to establish the decision matrix of the decision maker’s final scores for each software product against each sub characteristics. Thus, objective criteria importance weights and index scores for datasets were obtained from the random numbers. In the proposed model, five different software product quality evaluation datasets under three different weight vectors were applied to multiple criteria decision analysis method, preference analysis for reference ideal solution (PARIS) for comparison, and sensitivity analysis procedure. This study contributes to provide a better understanding of the application of MCDMA methods and ISO/IEC 25010 quality model guidelines in software product quality evaluation process.
Abstract: One of the crucial parameters of digital cryptographic
systems is the selection of the keys used and their distribution. The
randomness of the keys has a strong impact on the system’s security
strength being difficult to be predicted, guessed, reproduced, or
discovered by a cryptanalyst. Therefore, adequate key randomness
generation is still sought for the benefit of stronger cryptosystems.
This paper suggests an algorithm designed to generate and test
pseudo random number sequences intended for cryptographic
applications. This algorithm is based on mathematically manipulating
a publically agreed upon information between sender and receiver
over a public channel. This information is used as a seed for
performing some mathematical functions in order to generate a
sequence of pseudorandom numbers that will be used for
encryption/decryption purposes. This manipulation involves
permutations and substitutions that fulfill Shannon’s principle of
“confusion and diffusion”. ASCII code characters were utilized in the
generation process instead of using bit strings initially, which adds
more flexibility in testing different seed values. Finally, the obtained
results would indicate sound difficulty of guessing keys by attackers.
Abstract: Generating random numbers are mainly used to create
secret keys or random sequences. It can be carried out by various
techniques. In this paper we present a very simple and efficient
pseudo random number generator (PRNG) based on chaotic maps
and S-Box tables. This technique adopted two main operations one to
generate chaotic values using two logistic maps and the second to
transform them into binary words using random S-Box tables.
The simulation analysis indicates that our PRNG possessing
excellent statistical and cryptographic properties.
Abstract: This research investigates the distribution of food
demand for animal food and the optimum amount of that food
production at minimum cost. The data consist of customer purchase
orders for the food of laying hens, price of food for laying hens, cost
per unit for the food inventory, cost related to food of laying hens in
which the food is out of stock, such as fine, overtime, urgent
purchase for material. They were collected from January, 1990 to
December, 2013 from a factory in Nakhonratchasima province. The
collected data are analyzed in order to explore the distribution of the
monthly food demand for the laying hens and to see the rate of
inventory per unit. The results are used in a stochastic linear
programming model for aggregate planning in which the optimum
production or minimum cost could be obtained. Programming
algorithms in MATLAB and tools in Linprog software are used to get
the solution. The distribution of the food demand for laying hens and
the random numbers are used in the model. The study shows that the
distribution of monthly food demand for laying has a normal
distribution, the monthly average amount (unit: 30 kg) of production
from January to December. The minimum total cost average for 12
months is Baht 62,329,181.77. Therefore, the production planning
can reduce the cost by 14.64% from real cost.
Abstract: An optimal control of Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant is
studied in this paper utilizing the auto tuning concept in conjunction
with PID controller. A control scheme composing an auto tuning
stochastic technique based on an improved Genetic Algorithm (GA) is
proposed. For better evaluation of the process in GA, objective
function defined newly in sense of root mean square error has been
used. Also in order to achieve better performance of GA, more
pureness and longer period of random number generation in operation
are sought. The main improvement is made by replacing the uniform
distribution random number generator in conventional GA technique
to newly designed hybrid random generator composed of Cauchy
distribution and linear congruential generator, which provides
independent and different random numbers at each individual steps in
Genetic operation. The performance of newly proposed GA tuned
controller is compared with those of conventional ones via simulation.
Abstract: Most of the well known methods for generating
Gaussian variables require at least one standard uniform distributed
value, for each Gaussian variable generated. The length of the
random number generator therefore, limits the number of
independent Gaussian distributed variables that can be generated
meanwhile the statistical solution of complex systems requires a
large number of random numbers for their statistical analysis. We
propose an alternative simple method of generating almost infinite
number of Gaussian distributed variables using a limited number of
standard uniform distributed random numbers.
Abstract: In cryptography, confusion and diffusion are very
important to get confidentiality and privacy of message in block
ciphers and stream ciphers. There are two types of network to provide
confusion and diffusion properties of message in block ciphers. They
are Substitution- Permutation network (S-P network), and Feistel
network. NLFS (Non-Linear feedback stream cipher) is a fast and
secure stream cipher for software application. NLFS have two modes
basic mode that is synchronous mode and self synchronous mode.
Real random numbers are non-deterministic. R-box (random box)
based on the dynamic properties and it performs the stochastic
transformation of data that can be used effectively meet the
challenges of information is protected from international destructive
impacts. In this paper, a new implementation of stochastic
transformation will be proposed.
Abstract: Nowadays, power systems, energy generation by wind
has been very important. Noting that the production of electrical
energy by wind turbines on site to several factors (such as wind speed
and profile site for the turbines, especially off the wind input speed,
wind rated speed and wind output speed disconnect) is dependent. On
the other hand, several different types of turbines in the market there.
Therefore, selecting a turbine that its capacity could also answer the
need for electric consumers the efficiency is high something is
important and necessary. In this context, calculating the amount of
wind power to help optimize overall network, system operation, in
determining the parameters of wind power is very important.
In this article, to help calculate the amount of wind power plant,
connected to the national network in the region Manjil wind,
selecting the best type of turbine and power delivery profile
appropriate to the network using Monte Carlo method has been.
In this paper, wind speed data from the wind site in Manjil, as minute
