Abstract: This article deals with consumer ethnocentrism in the Moravian-Silesian region in the Czech Republic. Research was focused on finding out how strong consumer ethnocentrism is in the region and how it depends on demographic factors. The used method is CETSCALE and the data were obtained by questionnaire survey, analyzed by IBM SPSS. From the thousands of respondents the representative sample of 414 for MS region was created based on demographic factors of gender, age, education and income. The research analysis disclosed that consumer ethnocentrism in MS region depends on education and income and is independent on gender and age.
Abstract: In this paper the application of a hierarchical fuzzy system (HFS) based on MPSS and SVC in multi-machine environment is studied. Also the effect of communication lines active power variance signal between two ΔPTie-line regions, as one of the inputs of hierarchical fuzzy multi-input PSS and SVC (HFMPSS & SVC), on the increase of low frequency oscillation damping is examined. In the MPSS, to have better efficiency an auxiliary signal of reactive power deviation (ΔQ) is added with ΔP+ Δω input type PSS. The number of rules grows exponentially with the number of variables in a classic fuzzy system. To reduce the number of rules the HFS consists of a number of low-dimensional fuzzy systems in a hierarchical structure. Phasor model of SVC is described and used in this paper. The performances of MPSS and ΔPTie-line based HFMPSS and also the proposed method in damping inter-area mode of oscillation are examined in response to disturbances. The efficiency of the proposed model is examined by simulating a four-machine power system. Results show that the proposed method is performing satisfactorily within the whole range of disturbances and reduces the cost of system.
Abstract: Power system stabilizers (PSS) must be capable of providing appropriate stabilization signals over a broad range of
operating conditions and disturbance. Traditional PSS rely on robust
linear design method in an attempt to cover a wider range of operating
condition. Expert or rule-based controllers have also been proposed.
Recently fuzzy logic (FL) as a novel robust control
design method has shown promising results. The emphasis in fuzzy
control design center is around uncertainties in the system parameters
& operating conditions. In this paper a novel Robust Fuzzy Logic Power
System Stabilizer (RFLPSS) design is proposed The RFLPSS
basically utilizes only one measurable Δω signal as input
(generator shaft speed).
The speed signal is discretized resulting in three inputs to the
RFLPSS. There are six rules for the fuzzification and two rules for
defuzzification. To provide robustness, additional signal namely,
speed are used as inputs to RFLPSS enabling appropriate gain
adjustments for the three RFLPSS inputs. Simulation studies
show the superior performance of the RFLPSS compared
with an optimally designed conventional PSS and discrete mode FLPSS.

Abstract: This paper investigates the indices of a creative city in
Isfahan. Its main aim is to evaluate quantitative status of the creative
city indices in Isfahan city, analyze the dispersion and distribution of
these indices in Isfahan city. Concerning these, this study tries to
analyze the creative city indices in fifteen area of Isfahan through
secondary data, questionnaire, TOPSIS model, Shannon entropy and
SPSS. Based on this, the fifteen areas of Isfahan city have been
ranked with 12 factors of creative city indices. The results of studies
show that fifteen areas of Isfahan city are not equally benefiting from
creative indices and there is much difference between the areas of
Isfahan city.
Abstract: This study discusses the stumbling blocks stifling the
adoption of GPS technology in the public sector of Pakistan. This
study has been carried out in order to describe the value of GPS
technology and its adoption at various public sector organisations in
Pakistan. Sample size for the research conducted was 200; personnel
working in public sector having age above 29 years were surveyed.
Data collected for this research has been quantitatively analysed with
the help of SPSS. Regression analysis, correlation and cross
tabulation were the techniques used to determine the strength of
relationship between key variables. Findings of this research indicate
that main hurdles in GPS adoption in the public sector of Pakistan are
lack of awareness about GPS among masses in general and the
stakeholders in particular, lack of initiative on part of government in
promoting new technologies, unavailability of GPS infrastructure in
Pakistan and prohibitions on map availability because of security
reasons.
Abstract: This paper presents a systematic approach for the
design of power system stabilizer using genetic algorithm and
investigates the robustness of the GA based PSS. The proposed
approach employs GA search for optimal setting of PSS parameters.
The performance of the proposed GPSS under small and large
disturbances, loading conditions and system parameters is tested.
The eigenvalue analysis and nonlinear simulation results show the
effectiveness of the GPSS to damp out the system oscillations. It is
found tat the dynamic performance with the GPSS shows improved
results, over conventionally tuned PSS over a wide range of
operating conditions.
Abstract: Dual phase steels (DPS)s have a microstructure
consisting of a hard second phase called Martensite in the soft Ferrite
matrix. In recent years, there has been interest in dual-phase steels,
because the application of these materials has made significant usage;
particularly in the automotive sector Composite microstructure of
(DPS)s exhibit interesting characteristic mechanical properties such
as continuous yielding, low yield stress to tensile strength
ratios(YS/UTS), and relatively high formability; which offer
advantages compared with conventional high strength low alloy
steels(HSLAS). The research dealt with the characterization of
damage in (DPS)s. In this study by review the mechanisms of failure
due to volume fraction of martensite second phase; a new method is
introduced to identifying the mechanisms of failure in the various
phases of these types of steels. In this method the acoustic emission
(AE) technique was used to detect damage progression. These failure
mechanisms consist of Ferrite-Martensite interface decohesion and/or
martensite phase fracture. For this aim, dual phase steels with
different volume fraction of martensite second phase has provided by
various heat treatment methods on a low carbon steel (0.1% C), and
then AE monitoring is used during tensile test of these DPSs. From
AE measurements and an energy ratio curve elaborated from the
value of AE energy (it was obtained as the ratio between the strain
energy to the acoustic energy), that allows detecting important
events, corresponding to the sudden drops. These AE signals events
associated with various failure mechanisms are classified for ferrite
and (DPS)s with various amount of Vm and different martensite
morphology. It is found that AE energy increase with increasing Vm.
This increasing of AE energy is because of more contribution of
martensite fracture in the failure of samples with higher Vm. Final
results show a good relationship between the AE signals and the
mechanisms of failure.
Abstract: The main objective of this paper is a comparative
investigate in enhancement of damping power system oscillation via
coordinated design of the power system stabilizer (PSS) and static
synchronous series compensator (SSSC) and static synchronous
compensator (STATCOM). The design problem of FACTS-based
stabilizers is formulated as a GA based optimization problem. In this
paper eigenvalue analysis method is used on small signal stability of
single machine infinite bus (SMIB) system installed with SSSC and
STATCOM. The generator is equipped with a PSS. The proposed
stabilizers are tested on a weakly connected power system with
different disturbances and loading conditions. This aim is to enhance
both rotor angle and power system stability. The eigenvalue analysis
and non-linear simulation results are presented to show the effects of
these FACTS-based stabilizers and reveal that SSSC exhibits the best
effectiveness on damping power system oscillation.
Abstract: International literature emphasizes on the concern regarding the phenomenon of aggression in hospital. This paper focuses on the reality of aggressive interactions reigning within an emergency triage involving three chaps of protagonists: the professionals, the patients and their carers. The data collection was made from a grid of observation, in which the various variables exposed in the literature were integrated. They observations took place around the clock, for three weeks, at the rate of one week a month. In this research 331 aggressive interactions have been listed and analyzed by means of the software SPSS. This research is one of the very few continuous observation surveys in the literature. It shows the various human factors at play in the emergence of aggressive interaction. The data may be used both for taking steps in primary prevention, thanks to the analysis of interaction modes, and in secondary prevention by integrating the useful results in situational prevention.
