Abstract: Graph decompositions are vital in the study of
combinatorial design theory. A decomposition of a graph G is a
partition of its edge set. An n-sun graph is a cycle Cn with an edge
terminating in a vertex of degree one attached to each vertex. In this
paper, we define n-sun decomposition of some even order graphs
with a perfect matching. We have proved that the complete graph
K2n, complete bipartite graph K2n, 2n and the Harary graph H4, 2n have
n-sun decompositions. A labeling scheme is used to construct the n-suns.
Abstract: Recently, majors of doctors are divided into terribly lots of detailed areas. However, it is actually not a rare case that a doctor has a patient who is not in his/her major. He/She must judge an assessment and make a medical treatment plan for this patient. According to our investigation, conventional approaches such as image diagnosis cooperation are insufficient. This paper proposes an 'Assessment / Medical Treatment Plan Consulting System'. We have implemented a pilot system based on our proposition. Its effectiveness is clarified by an evaluation.
Abstract: This paper is a simple and systematic approaches to the design and analysis a pulse width modulation (PWM) based sliding mode controller for buck DC-DC Converters. Various aspects of the design, including the practical problems and the proposed solutions, are detailed. However, these control strategies can't compensate for large load current and input voltage variations. In this paper, a new control strategy by compromising both schemes advantages and avoiding their drawbacks is proposed, analyzed and simulated.
Abstract: In this paper, a method based on Non-Dominated
Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA) has been presented for the Volt /
Var control in power distribution systems with dispersed generation
(DG). Genetic algorithm approach is used due to its broad
applicability, ease of use and high accuracy. The proposed method is
better suited for volt/var control problems. A multi-objective
optimization problem has been formulated for the volt/var control of
the distribution system. The non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm
based method proposed in this paper, alleviates the problem of tuning
the weighting factors required in solving the multi-objective volt/var
control optimization problems. Based on the simulation studies
carried out on the distribution system, the proposed scheme has been
found to be simple, accurate and easy to apply to solve the multiobjective
volt/var control optimization problem of the distribution
system with dispersed generation.
Abstract: This study is aimed to investigate feasibility of the
aerobic biological process to treat oily wastewater from palm oil food
industry. Effect of aeration and sludge concentrations are studied.
Raw sludge and raw wastewater was mixed and acclimatized for five
days in a stirred tank reactor. The aeration rate (no aeration, low;
1.5L/min and high rate; 2L/min) and sludge concentration (3675,
7350, and 11025mg/L of VSS) were varied. Responses of process
were pH, COD, oil and grease, VSS, and PHB content. It was found
that the treatment can remove 85.1 to 97.1 % of COD and remove
12.9 to 54.8% of oil & grease. The PHB yield was found to be within
0.15% to 2.4% as PHB/VSS ratio and 0.01% to 0.12% as PHB/COD
removed. The higher aeration results a high COD removal and oil &
grease removal, while experiment without aeration gives better PHB
yield. Higher sludge concentrations (11025mg/L VSS) give higher
removal of oil & grease while moderate sludge concentration
(7350mg/L VSS) give better result in COD removal. Higher PHB
yield is obtained in low sludge concentration (3675mg/L).
Abstract: Estimation of natural frequency of structures is very
important and isn-t usually calculated simply and sometimes
complicated. Lack of knowledge about that caused hard damage and
hazardous effects.
In this paper, with using from two different models in FEM
method and based on hydrodynamic mass of fluids, natural frequency
of an especial bearing (Fig. 1) in an electric field (or, a periodic
force) is calculated in different stiffness and different geometric. In
final, the results of two models and analytical solution are compared.
Abstract: New Growth Theory helps us make sense of the
ongoing shift from a resource-based economy to a knowledge-based
economy. It underscores the point that the economic processes which
create and diffuse new knowledge are critical to shaping the growth
of nations, communities and individual firms. In all too many
contributions to New (Endogenous) Growth Theory – though not in
all – central reference is made to 'a stock of knowledge', a 'stock of
ideas', etc., this variable featuring centre-stage in the analysis. Yet it
is immediately apparent that this is far from being a crystal clear
concept. The difficulty and uncertainty of being able to capture the
value associated with knowledge is a real problem. The intent of this
paper is introducing new thinking and theorizing about the
knowledge and its measurability in new growth theory. Moreover the
study aims to synthesize various strain of the literature with a
practical bearing on knowledge concept. By contribution of
institution framework which is found within NGT, we can indirectly
measure the knowledge concept. Institutions matter because they
shape the environment for production and employment of new
knowledge
Abstract: The paper deals with the most important changes that have occurred in business because of social media and its impact on organisations and leadership in recent years. It seeks to synthesize existing research, theories and concepts, in order to understand "social destinations", and to provide a bridge from past research to future success. Becoming a "social destination" is a strategic and tactical leadership and management issue and the paper will present the importance of destination leadership in choosing the way towards a social destination and some organisational models. It also presents some social media tools that can be used in transforming a destination into a social one. Adapting organisations to the twentyfirst century means adopting social media as a way of life and a way of business.
Abstract: We proposed a technique to identify road traffic
congestion levels from velocity of mobile sensors with high accuracy
and consistent with motorists- judgments. The data collection utilized
a GPS device, a webcam, and an opinion survey. Human perceptions
were used to rate the traffic congestion levels into three levels: light,
heavy, and jam. Then the ratings and velocity were fed into a
decision tree learning model (J48). We successfully extracted vehicle
movement patterns to feed into the learning model using a sliding
windows technique. The parameters capturing the vehicle moving
patterns and the windows size were heuristically optimized. The
model achieved accuracy as high as 99.68%. By implementing the
model on the existing traffic report systems, the reports will cover
comprehensive areas. The proposed method can be applied to any
parts of the world.
Abstract: Different problems may causes distortion of the rotor,
and hence vibration, which is the most severe damage of the turbine
rotors. In many years different techniques have been developed for
the straightening of bent rotors. The method for straightening can be
selected according to initial information from preliminary inspections
and tests such as nondestructive tests, chemical analysis, run out tests
and also a knowledge of the shaft material. This article covers the
various causes of excessive bends and then some applicable common
straightening methods are reviewed. Finally, hot spotting is opted for
a particular bent rotor. A 325 MW steam turbine rotor is modeled and
finite element analyses are arranged to investigate this straightening
process. Results of experimental data show that performing the exact
hot spot straightening process reduced the bending of the rotor
significantly.
Abstract: An important step in studying the statistics of
fingerprint minutia features is to reliably extract minutia features from
the fingerprint images. A new reliable method of computation for
minutiae feature extraction from fingerprint images is presented. A
fingerprint image is treated as a textured image. An orientation flow
field of the ridges is computed for the fingerprint image. To
accurately locate ridges, a new ridge orientation based computation
method is proposed. After ridge segmentation a new method of
computation is proposed for smoothing the ridges. The ridge skeleton
image is obtained and then smoothed using morphological operators
to detect the features. A post processing stage eliminates a large
number of false features from the detected set of minutiae features.
The detected features are observed to be reliable and accurate.

Conclusions: Safety protocol for Oncology Nurses seemed to have
positive effect on improving nurses' knowledge and practice.
Recommendation: chemotherapy safety protocol should be instituted
for all oncology nurses who are working in any oncology unit and/ or
center to enhance compliance, and this protocol should be done at
frequent intervals.
Abstract: The role of entrepreneurs in generating the economy is
very important. Thus, nurturing entrepreneurship skills among
society is very crucial and should start from the early age. One of the
methods is to teach through game such as board game. Game
provides a fun and interactive platform for players to learn and play.
Besides that as today-s world is moving towards Islamic approach in
terms of finance, banking and entertainment but Islamic based game
is still hard to find in the market especially games on
entrepreneurship. Therefore, there is a gap in this segment that can be
filled by learning entrepreneurship through game. The objective of
this paper is to develop an entrepreneurship digital-based game
entitled “Catur Bistari" that is based on Islamic business approach.
Knowledge and skill of entrepreneurship and Islamic business
approach will be learned through the tasks that are incorporated
inside the game.
Abstract: We present a new method for the fully automatic 3D
reconstruction of the coronary artery centerlines, using two X-ray
angiogram projection images from a single rotating monoplane
acquisition system. During the first stage, the input images are
smoothed using curve evolution techniques. Next, a simple yet
efficient multiscale method, based on the information of the Hessian
matrix, for the enhancement of the vascular structure is introduced.
Hysteresis thresholding using different image quantiles, is used to
threshold the arteries. This stage is followed by a thinning procedure
to extract the centerlines. The resulting skeleton image is then pruned
using morphological and pattern recognition techniques to remove
non-vessel like structures. Finally, edge-based stereo correspondence
is solved using a parallel evolutionary optimization method based on
f symbiosis. The detected 2D centerlines combined with disparity
map information allow the reconstruction of the 3D vessel
centerlines. The proposed method has been evaluated on patient data
sets for evaluation purposes.
Abstract: It is necessary to evaluate the bridges conditions and
strengthen bridges or parts of them. The reinforcement necessary due
to some reasons can be summarized as: First, a changing in use of
bridge could produce internal forces in a part of structural which
exceed the existing cross-sectional capacity. Second, bridges may
also need reinforcement because damage due to external factors
which reduced the cross-sectional resistance to external loads. One of
other factors could listed here its misdesign in some details, like
safety of bridge or part of its. This article identify the design demands
of Qing Shan bridge located in is in Heilongjiang Province He gang -
Nen Jiang Road 303 provincial highway, Wudalianchi area, China, is
an important bridge in the urban areas. The investigation program
was include the observation and evaluate the damage in T- section
concrete beams , prestressed concrete box girder bridges section in
additional evaluate the whole state of bridge includes the pier ,
abutments , bridge decks, wings , bearing and capping beam, joints,
........etc. The test results show that the bridges in general structural
condition are good. T beam span No 10 were observed, crack
extended upward along the ribbed T beam, and continue to the T
beam flange. Crack width varying between 0.1mm to 0.4mm, the
maximum about 0.4mm. The bridge needs to be improved flexural
bending strength especially at for T beam section.
Abstract: This paper presents a useful sub-pixel image
registration method using line segments and a sub-pixel edge detector.
In this approach, straight line segments are first extracted from gray
images at the pixel level before applying the sub-pixel edge detector.
Next, all sub-pixel line edges are mapped onto the orientation-distance
parameter space to solve for line correspondence between images.
Finally, the registration parameters with sub-pixel accuracy are
analytically solved via two linear least-square problems. The present
approach can be applied to various fields where fast registration with
sub-pixel accuracy is required. To illustrate, the present approach is
applied to the inspection of printed circuits on a flat panel. Numerical
example shows that the present approach is effective and accurate
when target images contain a sufficient number of line segments,
which is true in many industrial problems.
Abstract: The paper is concerned with relationships between
SSME and ICTs and focuses on the role of Web 2.0 tools in
the service development process. The research presented aims at
exploring how collaborative technologies can support and improve
service processes, highlighting customer centrality and value coproduction.
The core idea of the paper is the centrality of user
participation and the collaborative technologies as enabling factors;
Wikipedia is analyzed as an example. The result of such analysis is
the identification and description of a pattern characterising specific
services in which users collaborate by means of web tools with value
co-producers during the service process. The pattern of collaborative
co-production concerning several categories of services including
knowledge based services is then discussed.
Abstract: A decomposition of a graph G is a collection ψ of subgraphs H1,H2, . . . , Hr of G such that every edge of G belongs to exactly one Hi. If each Hi is either an induced path or an induced cycle in G, then ψ is called an induced path decomposition of G. The minimum cardinality of an induced path decomposition of G is called the induced path decomposition number of G and is denoted by πi(G). In this paper we initiate a study of this parameter.
Abstract: Post growth annealing of solution grown ZnO
nanowire array is performed under controlled oxygen ambience. The
role of annealing over surface defects and their consequence on
dark/photo-conductivity and photosensitivity of nanowire array is
investigated. Surface defect properties are explored using various
measurement tools such as contact angle, photoluminescence, Raman
spectroscopy and XPS measurements. The contact angle of the NW
films reduces due to oxygen annealing and nanowire film surface
changes from hydrophobic (96°) to hydrophilic (16°). Raman and
XPS spectroscopy reveal that oxygen annealing improves the crystal
quality of the nanowire films. The defect band emission intensity
(relative to band edge emission, ID/IUV) reduces from 1.3 to 0.2 after
annealing at 600 °C at 10 SCCM flow of oxygen. An order
enhancement in dark conductivity is observed in O2 annealed
samples, while photoconductivity is found to be slightly reduced due
to lower concentration of surface related oxygen defects.
Abstract: A novel sponge submerged membrane bioreactor
(SSMBR) was developed to effectively remove organics and
nutrients from wastewater. Sponge is introduced within the SSMBR
as a medium for the attached growth of biomass. This paper evaluates
the effects of new and acclimatized sponges for dissolved organic
carbon (DOC) removal from wastewater at different mixed liquor
suspended solids- (MLSS) concentration of the sludge. It was
observed in a series of experimental studies that the acclimatized
sponge performed better than the new sponge whilst the optimum
DOC removal could be achieved at 10g/L of MLSS with the
acclimatized sponge. Moreover, the paper analyses the relationships
between the MLSSsponge/MLSSsludge and the DOC removal efficiency
of SSMBR. The results showed a non-linear relationship between the
biomass parameters of the sponge and the sludge, and the DOC
removal efficiency of SSMBR. A second-order polynomial function
could reasonably represent these relationships.
