Abstract: In this paper, a fifth order propagator operators are proposed for estimating the Angles Of Arrival (AOA) of narrowband electromagnetic waves impinging on antenna array when its number of sensors is larger than the number of radiating sources.
The array response matrix is partitioned into five linearly dependent phases to construct the noise projector using five different propagators from non diagonal blocks of the spectral matrice of the received data; hence, five different estimators are proposed to estimate the angles of the sources. The simulation results proved the performance of the proposed estimators in the presence of white noise comparatively to high resolution eigen based spectra.
Abstract: In this paper, we investigated the effect of real valued transformation of the spectral matrix of the received data for Angles Of Arrival estimation problem. Indeed, the unitary transformation of Partial Propagator (UPP) for narrowband sources is proposed and applied on Uniform Linear Array (ULA).
Monte Carlo simulations proved the performance of the UPP spectrum comparatively with Forward Backward Partial Propagator (FBPP) and Unitary Propagator (UP). The results demonstrates that when some of the sources are fully correlated and closer than the Rayleigh angular limit resolution of the broadside array, the UPP method outperforms the FBPP in both of spatial resolution and complexity.
Abstract: We study the movement of a two-level atom in
interaction with time dependent nonuniform magnetic filed using the
path integral formalism. The propagator is first written in the standard
form by replacing the spin by a unit vector aligned along the polar and
azimuthal directions. Then it is determined exactly using perturbation
methods. Thus the Rabi formula of the system are deduced.
Abstract: We consider a spin-1/2 particle interacting with a time-dependent magnetic field using path integral formalism. The propagator is first of all written in the standard form replacing the spin by two fermionic oscillators via the Schwinger model. The propagator
is then exactly determined, thanks to a simple transformation, and the transition probability is deduced.
Abstract: In this paper a novel method for multiple one dimensional real valued sinusoidal signal frequency estimation in the presence of additive Gaussian noise is postulated. A computationally simple frequency estimation method with efficient statistical performance is attractive in many array signal processing applications. The prime focus of this paper is to combine the subspace-based technique and a simple peak search approach. This paper presents a variant of the Propagator Method (PM), where a collaborative approach of SUMWE and Propagator method is applied in order to estimate the multiple real valued sine wave frequencies. A new data model is proposed, which gives the dimension of the signal subspace is equal to the number of frequencies present in the observation. But, the signal subspace dimension is twice the number of frequencies in the conventional MUSIC method for estimating frequencies of real-valued sinusoidal signal. The statistical analysis of the proposed method is studied, and the explicit expression of asymptotic (large-sample) mean-squared-error (MSE) or variance of the estimation error is derived. The performance of the method is demonstrated, and the theoretical analysis is substantiated through numerical examples. The proposed method can achieve sustainable high estimation accuracy and frequency resolution at a lower SNR, which is verified by simulation by comparing with conventional MUSIC, ESPRIT and Propagator Method.
Abstract: This research contribution is drafted to present the
orbit design, orbit propagator and geomagnetic field estimator for the
nanosatellites specifically for the upcoming CUBESAT, ICUBE-1 of
the Institute of Space Technology (IST), Islamabad, Pakistan. The
ICUBE mission is designed for the low earth orbit at the approximate
height of 700KM. The presented research endeavor designs the
Keplarian elements for ICUBE-1 orbit while incorporating the
mission requirements and propagates the orbit using J2 perturbations,
The attitude determination system of the ICUBE-1 consists of
attitude determination sensors like magnetometer and sun sensor. The
Geomagnetic field estimator is developed according to the model of
International Geomagnetic Reference Field (IGRF) for comparing the
magnetic field measurements by the magnetometer for attitude
determination. The output of the propagator namely the Keplarians
position and velocity vectors and the magnetic field vectors are
compared and verified with the same scenario generated in the
Satellite Tool Kit (STK).
Abstract: MOC (method of cell) is a new method of investigating
wave propagating in material with periodic microstructure, and can
reflect the effect of microstructure. Wave propagation in periodically
laminated medium consisting of linearly elastic layers can be treated
as a special application of this method. In this paper, it was used to
simulate the dynamic response of carbon-phenolic to impulsive
loading under certain boundary conditions. From the comparison
between the results obtained from this method and the exact results
based on propagator matrix theory, excellent agreement is achieved.
Conclusion can be made that the oscillation periodicity is decided by
the thickness of sub-cells. In the end, the NHDMOC method, which
permits studying stress wave propagation with one dimensional strain,
was applied to study the one-dimensional stress wave propagation. In
this paper, the ZWT nonlinear visco-elastic constitutive relationship
with 7 parameters, NHDMOC, and corresponding equations were
deduced. The equations were verified, comparing the elastic stress
wave propagation in SHPB with, respectively, the elastic and the
visco-elastic bar. Finally the dispersion and attenuation of stress wave
in SHPB with visco-elastic bar was studied.
