Abstract: Larval rearing and seed production of most of tetra fishes (Family: Characidae) is critical due to their small size larvae and limited numbers of spawning attempts. During the present study the effect of different live foods on growth and survival of neon tetra, Paracheirodon innesi larvae (length 3.1 ± 0.012mm, weight 0.048 ± 0.00015mg) and early fry (length = 6.44 ± 0.025mm, weight = 0.64 ± 0.003mg and 13 days old) was determined in two experiments. Experiment I was conducted for rearing the larvae by using mixed green water and Infusoria whereas, in Experiment II, early fry were fed with mixed zooplankton, decapsulated Artemia cyst and Artemia nauplii. The larvae fed on mixed green water showed significant (p
Abstract: This paper presents Simulation and experimental
study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of an adaptive artificial
neural network stabilizer on enhancing the damping torque of a
synchronous generator. For this purpose, a power system comprising
a synchronous generator feeding a large power system through a
short tie line is considered. The proposed adaptive neuro-control
system consists of two multi-layered feed forward neural networks,
which work as a plant model identifier and a controller. It generates
supplementary control signals to be utilized by conventional
controllers. The details of the interfacing circuits, sensors and
transducers, which have been designed and built for use in tests, are
presented. The synchronous generator is tested to investigate the
effect of tuning a Power System Stabilizer (PSS) on its dynamic
stability. The obtained simulation and experimental results verify the
basic theoretical concepts.
Abstract: Concerning the inpatient care the present situation is
characterized by intense charges of medical technology into the
clinical daily routine and an ever stronger integration of special
techniques into the clinical workflow. Medical technology is by now
an integral part of health care according to consisting general
accepted standards. Purchase and operation thereby represent an
important economic position and both are subject of everyday
optimisation attempts. For this purpose by now exists a huge number
of tools which conduce more likely to a complexness of the problem
by a comprehensive implementation. In this paper the advantages of
an integrative information-workflow on the life-cycle-management in
the region of medical technology are shown.
