Abstract: To investigate the possible correlation between peer aggression and peer victimization, 148 sixth-graders were asked to respond to the Reduced Aggression and Victimization Scales (RAVS). RAVS measures the frequency of reporting aggressive behaviors or of being victimized during the previous week prior to the survey. The scales are composed of six items each. Each point represents one instance of aggression or victimization. Specifically, the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient (PMCC) was used to determine the correlations between the scores of the sixthgraders in the two scales, both in individual items and total scores. Positive correlations were established and correlations were significant at the 0.01 levels.

identify the chip morphology.
Abstract: In quality control of freeze-dried durian, crispiness is
a key quality index of the product. Generally, crispy testing has to be
done by a destructive method. A nondestructive testing of the
crispiness is required because the samples can be reused for other
kinds of testing. This paper proposed a crispiness classification
method of freeze-dried durians using fuzzy logic for decision
making. The physical changes of a freeze-dried durian include the
pores appearing in the images. Three physical features including (1)
the diameters of pores, (2) the ratio of the pore area and the
remaining area, and (3) the distribution of the pores are considered to
contribute to the crispiness. The fuzzy logic is applied for making the
decision. The experimental results comparing with food expert
opinion showed that the accuracy of the proposed classification
method is 83.33 percent.
Abstract: Data mining is the process of sifting through large
volumes of data, analyzing data from different perspectives and
summarizing it into useful information. One of the widely used
desktop applications for data mining is the Weka tool which is
nothing but a collection of machine learning algorithms implemented
in Java and open sourced under the General Public License (GPL). A
web service is a software system designed to support interoperable
machine to machine interaction over a network using SOAP
messages. Unlike a desktop application, a web service is easy to
upgrade, deliver and access and does not occupy any memory on the
system. Keeping in mind the advantages of a web service over a
desktop application, in this paper we are demonstrating how this Java
based desktop data mining application can be implemented as a web
service to support data mining across the internet.

Abstract: Project managers are the ultimate responsible for the
overall characteristics of a project, i.e. they should deliver the project
on time with minimum cost and with maximum quality. It is vital for
any manager to decide a trade-off between these conflicting
objectives and they will be benefited of any scientific decision
support tool. Our work will try to determine optimal solutions (rather
than a single optimal solution) from which the project manager will
select his desirable choice to run the project. In this paper, the
problem in project scheduling notated as
(1,T|cpm,disc,mu|curve:quality,time,cost) will be studied. The
problem is multi-objective and the purpose is finding the Pareto
optimal front of time, cost and quality of a project
(curve:quality, time, cost), whose activities belong to a start to finish
activity relationship network (cpm) and they can be done in different
possible modes (mu) which are non-continuous or discrete (disc), and
each mode has a different cost, time and quality . The project is
constrained to a non-renewable resource i.e. money (1,T). Because
the problem is NP-Hard, to solve the problem, a meta-heuristic is
developed based on a version of genetic algorithm specially adapted
to solve multi-objective problems namely FastPGA. A sample project
with 30 activities is generated and then solved by the proposed
method.
Abstract: This paper aims to develop an algorithm of finite
capacity material requirement planning (FCMRP) system for a multistage
assembly flow shop. The developed FCMRP system has two
main stages. The first stage is to allocate operations to the first and
second priority work centers and also determine the sequence of the
operations on each work center. The second stage is to determine the
optimal start time of each operation by using a linear programming
model. Real data from a factory is used to analyze and evaluate the
effectiveness of the proposed FCMRP system and also to guarantee a
practical solution to the user. There are five performance measures,
namely, the total tardiness, the number of tardy orders, the total
earliness, the number of early orders, and the average flow-time. The
proposed FCMRP system offers an adjustable solution which is a
compromised solution among the conflicting performance measures.
The user can adjust the weight of each performance measure to
obtain the desired performance. The result shows that the combination
of FCMRP NP3 and EDD outperforms other combinations
in term of overall performance index. The calculation time for the
proposed FCMRP system is about 10 minutes which is practical for
the planners of the factory.
Abstract: In this paper, a Biochemical Methane Potential (BMP)
test provides a measure of the energy production potential from codigestion
between the frozen seafood wastewater and the decanter
cake. The experiments were conducted in laboratory-scale. The
suitable ratio of the frozen seafood wastewater and the decanter cake
was observed in the BMP test. The ratio of the co-digestion between
the frozen seafood wastewater and the decanter cake has impacts on
the biogas production and energy production potential. The best
performance for energy production potential using BMP test
observed from the 180 ml of the frozen seafood wastewater and 10 g
of the decanter cake ratio. This ratio provided the maximum methane
production at 0.351 l CH4/g TCODremoval. The removal efficiencies
are 76.18%, 83.55%, 43.16% and 56.76% at TCOD, SCOD, TS and
VS, respectively. The result can be concluded that the decanter cake
can improve the energy production potential of the frozen seafood
wastewater. The energy provides from co-digestion between frozen
seafood wastewater and decanter cake approximately 19x109
MJ/year in Thailand.
Abstract: Negation is useful in the majority of the real world applications. However, its introduction leads to semantic and canonical problems. SEPN nets are well adapted extension of predicate nets for the definition and manipulation of stratified programs. This formalism is characterized by two main contributions. The first concerns the management of the whole class of stratified programs. The second contribution is related to usual operations optimization (maximal stratification, incremental updates ...). We propose, in this paper, useful algorithms for manipulating stratified programs using SEPN. These algorithms were implemented and validated with STRPRO tool.
Abstract: Researches related to standard product model and
development of neutral manufacturing interfaces for numerical
control machines becomes a significant topic since the last 25 years.
In this paper, a detail description of STEP implementation on turnmill
manufacturing has been discussed. It shows requirements of
information contents from ISO14649 data model. It covers to
describe the design of STEP-NC framework applicable to turn-mill
manufacturing. In the framework, EXPRESS-G and UML modeling
tools are used to depict the information contents of the system and
established the bases of information model requirement. A product
and manufacturing data model applicable for STEP compliant
manufacturing. The next generation turn-mill operations
requirements have been represented by a UML diagram. An object
oriented classes of ISO1449 has been developed on Visual Basic dot
NET platform for binding the static information model represented
by the UML diagram. An architect of the proposed system
implementation has been given on the bases of the design and
manufacturing module of STEP-NC interface established. Finally, a
part 21 file process plan generated for an illustration of turn-mill
components.
Abstract: In this paper, a novel multi join algorithm to join
multiple relations will be introduced. The novel algorithm is based
on a hashed-based join algorithm of two relations to produce a double index. This is done by scanning the two relations once. But
instead of moving the records into buckets, a double index will be built. This will eliminate the collision that can happen from a complete hash algorithm. The double index will be divided into join
buckets of similar categories from the two relations. The algorithm then joins buckets with similar keys to produce joined buckets. This
will lead at the end to a complete join index of the two relations. without actually joining the actual relations. The time complexity
required to build the join index of two categories is Om log m where m is the size of each category. Totaling time complexity to O n log m
for all buckets. The join index will be used to materialize the joined relation if required. Otherwise, it will be used along with other join
indices of other relations to build a lattice to be used in multi-join operations with minimal I/O requirements. The lattice of the join indices can be fitted into the main memory to reduce time complexity of the multi join algorithm.
Abstract: It is quite essential to form dialogue mechanisms and
dialogue channels to solve intercultural communication issues.
Therefore, every country should develop a intercultural education
project which aims to resolve international communication issues.
For proper mediation training, the first step is to reach an agreement
on the actors to run the project. The strongest mediation mechanisms
in the world should be analyzed and initiated within the educational
policies. A communication-based mediation model should be
developed for international mediation training. Mediators can use
their convincing communication skills as a part of this model. At the
first, fundamental stages of the mediation training should be specified
within the scope of the model. Another important topic at this point is
common sence and peace leaders to act as an ombudsman in this
process. Especially for solving some social issues and conflicts,
common sense leaders acting as an ombudsman would lead to
effective communication. In mediation training that is run by
universities and non-governmental organizations, another phase is to
focus on conducting the meetings. In intercultural mediation training,
one of the most critical topics is to conduct the meeting traffic and
performing a shuttle diplomacy. Meeting traffic is where the mediator
organizes meetings with the parties with initiative powers, in order to
contribute to the solution of the issue, and schedule these meetings.
In this notice titled “ Intercultural mediation training and the training
process of common sense leaders by the leadership of universities
communication and artistic campaigns" , communication models and
strategies about this topic will be constructed and an intercultural art
activities and perspectives will be presented.
Abstract: The malfunction of thermal protection system (TPS) caused by aerodynamic heating is a latent trouble to aircraft structure safety. Accurately predicting the structure temperature field is quite important for the TPS design of hypersonic vehicle. Since Thornton’s work in 1988, the coupled method of aerodynamic heating and heat transfer has developed rapidly. However, little attention has been paid to the influence of structural deformation on aerodynamic heating and structural temperature field. In the flight, especially the long-endurance flight, the structural deformation, caused by the aerodynamic heating and temperature rise, has a direct impact on the aerodynamic heating and structural temperature field. Thus, the coupled interaction cannot be neglected. In this paper, based on the method of static aero-thermo-elasticity, considering the influence of aero-thermo-elasticity deformation, the aerodynamic heating and heat transfer coupled results of hypersonic vehicle wing model were calculated. The results show that, for the low-curvature region, such as fuselage or center-section wing, structure deformation has little effect on temperature field. However, for the stagnation region with high curvature, the coupled effect is not negligible. Thus, it is quite important for the structure temperature prediction to take into account the effect of elastic deformation. This work has laid a solid foundation for improving the prediction accuracy of the temperature distribution of aircraft structures and the evaluation capacity of structural performance.
Abstract: The practical implementation of audio-video coupled speech recognition systems is mainly limited by the hardware complexity to integrate two radically different information capturing devices with good temporal synchronisation. In this paper, we propose a solution based on a smart CMOS image sensor in order to simplify the hardware integration difficulties. By using on-chip image processing, this smart sensor can calculate in real time the X/Y projections of the captured image. This on-chip projection reduces considerably the volume of the output data. This data-volume reduction permits a transmission of the condensed visual information via the same audio channel by using a stereophonic input available on most of the standard computation devices such as PC, PDA and mobile phones. A prototype called VMIKE (Visio-Microphone) has been designed and realised by using standard 0.35um CMOS technology. A preliminary experiment gives encouraged results. Its efficiency will be further investigated in a large variety of applications such as biometrics, speech recognition in noisy environments, and vocal control for military or disabled persons, etc.
Abstract: School brawls have taken casualties to the life of
students in Jakarta. In the last time, school brawl studies investigate
the cause with groups approach such as cognitive dissonance that
provocation and resentment among student in the schools. This
research focus on individual factors as the cause of school brawls,
where the characteristics of children with ADHD, lack of self-control
regulation, and level of depression. The results show that in fact the
lower influence of individual factor to be come conduct disorder. The
meaning students have good self-regulation control, insignificant
characteristics of children with ADHD, and moderate of depression
level. Concluded group factor more significant than individual factor
to caused school brawl.
Abstract: In this work, we consider the rational points on elliptic
curves over finite fields Fp. We give results concerning the number
of points Np,a on the elliptic curve y2 ≡ x3 +a3(mod p) according
to whether a and x are quadratic residues or non-residues. We use
two lemmas to prove the main results first of which gives the list of
primes for which -1 is a quadratic residue, and the second is a result
from [1]. We get the results in the case where p is a prime congruent
to 5 modulo 6, while when p is a prime congruent to 1 modulo 6,
there seems to be no regularity for Np,a.
Abstract: This paper presents a new feature based dense stereo
matching algorithm to obtain the dense disparity map via dynamic
programming. After extraction of some proper features, we use some
matching constraints such as epipolar line, disparity limit, ordering
and limit of directional derivative of disparity as well. Also, a coarseto-
fine multiresolution strategy is used to decrease the search space
and therefore increase the accuracy and processing speed. The
proposed method links the detected feature points into the chains and
compares some of the feature points from different chains, to
increase the matching speed. We also employ color stereo matching
to increase the accuracy of the algorithm. Then after feature
matching, we use the dynamic programming to obtain the dense
disparity map. It differs from the classical DP methods in the stereo
vision, since it employs sparse disparity map obtained from the
feature based matching stage. The DP is also performed further on a
scan line, between any matched two feature points on that scan line.
Thus our algorithm is truly an optimization method. Our algorithm
offers a good trade off in terms of accuracy and computational
efficiency. Regarding the results of our experiments, the proposed
algorithm increases the accuracy from 20 to 70%, and reduces the
running time of the algorithm almost 70%.
Abstract: Intelligent technologies are increasingly facilitating
sustainable water management strategies in Australia. While this
innovation can present clear cost benefits to utilities through
immediate leak detection and deference of capital costs, the impact of
this technology on households is less distinct. By offering real-time
engagement and detailed end-use consumption breakdowns, there is
significant potential for demand reduction as a behavioural response
to increased information. Despite this potential, passive
implementation without well-planned residential engagement
strategies is likely to result in a lost opportunity. This paper begins
this research process by exploring the effect of smart water meters
through the lens of three behaviour change theories. The Theory of
Planned Behaviour (TPB), Belief Revision theory (BR) and Practice
Theory emphasise different variables that can potentially influence
and predict household water engagements. In acknowledging the
strengths of each theory, the nuances and complexity of household
water engagement can be recognised which can contribute to
effective planning for residential smart meter engagement strategies.
Abstract: In the other to Study of drought stress and Selenium
spraying effect on superoxide dismotase (SOD) activity of rapeseed
(Brassica napus L.) cultivars in Shahr-e-Rey region, an experiment
carried out in Split factorial design in the basis of randomized
complete blocks with 4 replications in 2006. Irrigation in two levels:
Normal irrigation and irrigation with drought stress when the soil
electrical conductivity reached to 60 as main factor and rapeseed
cultivars in 3 levels Zarfam, Okapi, Opera and selenium spraying at
the beginning of flowering stage in 3 levels: 0, 16 and 21 g/ha as sub
factor.
The results showed that the simple and interaction effect of
irrigation, selenium and cultivars on SOD activity had significant
difference. In this case Zarfam cultivar with 2010 u.mg-1 protein and
Opera with 1454 u.mg-1 protein produced maximum and minimum
amounts of SOD activitiy. Interaction effect of irrigation and variety
showed that, normal irrigation in Opera with 1115 u.mg-1 protein
and drought stress in Zarfam with 2784 u.mg-1 protein conducted to
and minimum and maximum amounts of SOD activity.
Interaction effect of irrigation, cultivar and selenium on SOD
indicated that drought stress condition and 21 gr/ha selenium
spraying in Zarfam variety with 3146 u.mg-1 protein gained to
highest activities of SOD.
Abstract: This paper presents a model for the evaluation of
energy performance and aerodynamic forces acting on a three-bladed
small vertical axis Darrieus wind turbine depending on blade chord
curvature with respect to rotor axis.
The adopted survey methodology is based on an analytical code
coupled to a solid modeling software, capable of generating the
desired blade geometry depending on the blade design geometric
parameters, which is linked to a finite volume CFD code for the
calculation of rotor performance.
After describing and validating the model with experimental data,
the results of numerical simulations are proposed on the bases of two
different blade profile architectures, which are respectively
characterized by a straight chord and by a curved one, having a chord
radius equal to rotor external circumference. A CFD campaign of
analysis is completed for three blade-candidate airfoil sections, that is
the recently-developed DU 06-W-200 cambered blade profile, a
classical symmetrical NACA 0021 and its derived cambered airfoil,
characterized by a curved chord, having a chord radius equal to rotor
external circumference.
The effects of blade chord curvature on angle of attack, blade
tangential and normal forces are first investigated and then the
overall rotor torque and power are analyzed as a function of blade
azimuthal position, achieving a numerical quantification of the
influence of blade camber on overall rotor performance.
