Abstract: Bursa, since the establishment of the Ottoman Empire,
being on the important trade roads and having a capital accumulation
as a result of silk production, was one of the first cities of
modernization activities applied. Bursa maintained its importance
even during the Republican Period and became one of the most
important cities of the country and today is the fourth biggest and the
industrialized city in Turkey. Social, political, economical and
cultural changes occured with the reforms starting with the 1839
Edict of Tanzimat that aimed at modernizing the society and the
government and centralizing the political power began in the
Ottoman Empire. After the Tanzimat Reforms transformation of the
city changed and planning processes began in Bursa according to the
vision of Governors. The theresholds of the city are very important
data for a sustainable planning for the city planners. Main aim of this
study is to investigate the changes and transformations of the city
according to the changes in the socio-economical and cultural
properties for the city planners.
Abstract: The purpose of this work is to identify the positive and negative aspects of parties- participation in the country-s modernization, which in turn, will help a country to determine the necessary steps to improve the social-economic development. The article considers a question of the role of the dominating party of Kazakhstan and ruling party of China in the country-s modernization. Using a comparative analysis reveals differences between the People's Democratic Party “Nur Otan" and the Communist Party of China. It is discussed the policy of carrying out of modernization, the main actions of political parties of both countries with a view of modernization implementation.
Abstract: Aluminothermic rail welding was from the beginning
a great success because its low price even in 1895 in Germany. This
method is now, widely used all over the world for the railways
construction, maintenance and modernization. Instructions give you
guidelines for preparing papers for conferences or journals.
After 1989, the welding needs of the potentials beneficiaries
(Romanian Railways, Urban Transportation Companies) keep raise
because of the railways maintenance and modernization necessity.
The main materials that determine the Thermit (T) composition
result from manufacturing scraps all over the country. This can help
the environment by consuming these scraps.
The Romanian need for alumino-thermic welding is now by 11300
per year, and in a favourable economical environment, this amount
can reach 30000 units.
This paper tries to show the effect of two types of modifiers
introduced in the T composition on the structure and properties of an
alumino-thermic welding.
