Abstract: In today's world, we need documents everywhere for a smooth workflow in the identification process or any other security aspects. The current system and techniques which are used for identification need one thing, that is ‘proof of existence’, which involves valid documents, for example, educational, financial, etc. The main issue with the current identity access management system and digital identification process is that the system is centralized in their network, which makes it inefficient. The paper presents the system which resolves all these cited issues. It is based on ‘blockchain’ technology, which is a 'decentralized system'. It allows transactions in a decentralized and immutable manner. The primary notion of the model is to ‘have everything with nothing’. It involves inter-linking required documents of a person with a single identity card so that a person can go anywhere without having the required documents with him/her. The person just needs to be physically present at a place wherein documents are necessary, and using a fingerprint impression and an iris scan print, the rest of the verification will progress. Furthermore, some technical overheads and advancements are listed. This paper also aims to layout its far-vision scenario of blockchain and its impact on future trends.
Abstract: With the technological development and rise of virtual worlds, these spaces are becoming more and more attractive for cybercriminals, hidden behind avatars and fictitious identities. Since access to these spaces is not restricted or controlled, some impostors take advantage of gaining unauthorized access and practicing cyber criminality. This paper proposes an identity management approach for securing access to virtual worlds. The major purpose of the suggested solution is to install a strong security mechanism to protect virtual identities represented by avatars. Thus, only legitimate users, through their corresponding avatars, are allowed to access the platform resources. Access is controlled by integrating an authentication process based on biometrics. In the request process for registration, a user fingerprint is enrolled and then encrypted into a watermark utilizing a cancelable and non-invertible algorithm for its protection. After a user personalizes their representative character, the biometric mark is embedded into the avatar through a watermarking procedure. The authenticity of the avatar identity is verified when it requests authorization for access. We have evaluated the proposed approach on a dataset of avatars from various virtual worlds, and we have registered promising performance results in terms of authentication accuracy, acceptation and rejection rates.
Abstract: This paper describes a logical method to enhance
security on the grid computing to restrict the misuse of the grid
resources. This method is an economic and efficient one to avoid the
usage of the special devices. The security issues, techniques and
solutions needed to provide a secure grid computing environment are
described. A well defined process for security management among
the resource accesses and key holding algorithm is also proposed. In
this method, the identity management, access control and
authorization and authentication are effectively handled.
Abstract: As the Internet technology has developed rapidly, the
number of identities (IDs) managed by each individual person has
increased and various ID management technologies have been
developed to assist users. However, most of these technologies are
vulnerable to the existing hacking methods such as phishing attacks
and key-logging. If the administrator-s password is exposed, an
attacker can access the entire contents of the stolen user-s data files in
other devices. To solve these problems, we propose here a new ID
management scheme based on a Single Password Protocol. The paper
presents the details of the new scheme as well as a formal analysis of
the method using BAN Logic.
Abstract: The paper shows the necessity to increase the security
level for paper management in the cadastral field by using specific
graphical watermarks. Using the graphical watermarking will
increase the security in the cadastral content management;
furthermore any altered document will be validated afterwards of its
originality by checking the graphic watermark. If, by any reasons the
document is changed for counterfeiting, it is invalidated and found
that is an illegal copy due to the graphic check of the watermarking,
check made at pixel level
Abstract: This article provides some insight into the
implementation of the national ID programme in the United Arab
Emirates (UAE). The fundamental aim is to contribute to the
existing body of knowledge in the field, as it sheds light on some of
the lessons learned from the programme that is believed to widening
the knowledge horizons of those involved in such initiatives.
Abstract: Reducing the risk of information leaks is one of
the most important functions of identity management systems. To
achieve this purpose, Dey et al. have already proposed an account
management method for a federated login system using a blind
signature scheme. In order to ensure account anonymity for the
authentication provider, referred to as an IDP (identity provider),
a blind signature scheme is utilized to generate an authentication
token on an authentication service and the token is sent to an IDP.
However, there is a problem with the proposed system. Malicious
users can establish multiple accounts on an IDP by requesting such
accounts. As a measure to solve this problem, in this paper, the
authors propose an account checking method that is performed before
account generation.
